I used to have a couple of Gerber and Spyderco locking knives but i sold them already. These days the only knives I have are of the "utility" variety: Leatherman and Victorinox.
I also was into pekiti-tirsia kali for a short while. Our instructor was the guy training the Phil. Rangers and Force Recon Marines.

not a collector but, hmm...i got a victorinox swiss champ, a fan knife (balisong) from taal, ba t a n g a s, and a straight razor (labaha) from tabako, albay.
i think i'm gonna buy one of those climbing knives that's sharp enough to cut a tensioned rope.

I have a "GULOK'', bolo knife yata in english... It was my grandparents handed down to my mom. After all that time it only just started to rust and dull.
Nothing fancy, except its history.

me I have one leatherman super tool which I carry during DH rides in Tagaytay. I found it useful numerous times already. Fortunately not for me but usually for my riding buddies.
I have another super tool which I keep in the office. Useful for doing quick fixes on the PC( i just make sure i unplug because there is no insulation) and opening cans for meals.
I have a swiss Army (Champion) which I carry with me during out of town trips. Its the can openner and bottle opener I find most useful.
I also have a Buck Folding Knife which justs stays in the study table. It's been with me since 1999 but still there are no need for me to use it. Other knives does the job well.

I have to mention pala my Champion model Chinese Army Knife It's special because it was given to me by my Dad nung college pa. I asked for a swiss army, and true to form, yung fake na china ang binili sakin hehe That knife has been a big help for those everyday emergencies screwdriver, corkscrew etc Pero the biggest advantage of the Chinese army knife is walang gusto humiram, umarbor or dumugas sa kanya That's why kahit bali na kalahati ng mga features nya, it is still in my possesion

the knives i buy are not the typical collector type knife( gerbers etc.), instead they are kitchen knives, ( choppers, cleavers, parers, butchers etc.),i cook kasi. my fave is a japanese type teflon coated flat knife, its sharpens to a very fine point ( i dont like those "no need to sharpen" kinds). great for all kinds of cutting and some minor chopping. but i also have a swiss army knife, yun pinakamadaming features, given as a gift by my sister when she went to switzerland. which has proven to be very very useful.

i used to collect knives way back from my boy scout days. to date i tink i've had about 30 knives all in all pero some of them nawala na. (china swiss knives, victorinox swiss army knives, neck knife, hunting knife, jungle bolo, multi tools, fan kanives and folding knives) these are the best knives that ive used so far Victorinox swiss knife (the regular size not the swiss champ because its too bulky and you wouldn;t need the extra stuff in it) A batangas made Bolo specially during major climbs Gerber multi-tool (great pliers and wire cutters however i find it heavy for everyday use) bought in Dau for Php 2500.00 Leatherman wave (another great multitool however you need 2 hands to operate it unlike teh gerber) also bought in Dau for php 3000.00 spyderco neck knife (good for gimmiks since you use it as a necklace, the bouncer wouldn't notice that you have it) what i use everyday is a china immitation of the spyderco. a folding knife, its 4inches blade with blunt edge and cerrated blade. (Php 375.00 in hahn manila) i use it for climbs and sometimes when i dive i bring it with me. this is already my 2nd because i lost the first one. It can easily cut seatbelrs, ropes and cables however its not a good paper cutter since its cerrated I collect knives because i believe that its a very powerful and useful tool. I have never used it to hurt anyone. I also collect flashlights as they say in the boy scouts "Be prepared"

Now, im of legal age nawalan na rin ako ng gana to collect knives..my last one is a 'buck knife'. Now I use solingen knives na lang..use for slicing and preparing food. bad trip lost my knife kit(complete with chef's knife, paring, fillet, boning, etc.) in CCA and all of them has my name engraved on the blade. Walang nagbalik!! who ever has them now sana maputalan ng fingers! hehehe! knock on wood.

Uy sir I know that buckle/knife, I saw one when I was still in college. He was a member of a "quite notorious" organization there. I think all their members have that buckle/knife thing. You know where to buy those stuff?
