I learned that a lot of people in Hongkong
are spending their retirement years in active stock trading.
They say it keeps them alert.
Beats watching telenovelas and getting my coconut fried in the process
like what my dad is undergoing right now since his heart attack.
Another option is to play mahjong,
the company of old friends, the hand-eye-brain coordination in the game, keeps one alert, I guess.
Since I don't play mahjong,
I got curious about Stock market trading!
But the looks of it, the risk involved and the complexity of the game is a little too abstract for me.
Will probably take a while for me to digest everything that's discussed here.
Allegra, yes, I was referring to Capital Gains Tax.
If I sell a property at the same price I bought it,
that mean I have zero capital gain.
Then if I sell the unit, I should NOT be paying any CG tax!
There was no capital gain!
They should rename the tax!
Like Government Donation box tax or something!
