Hi all - some help please.
I'm looking to buy a condo in SOMA and could use some advice. I can't afford to do this alone and have a couple of partners. What are some of the pitfalls we should lookout for. Does anyone have experience with Century Properties? Or should I stay with Ayala Land developments?
I think the Fort is an ideal location since it's fairly central and has shopping, clubs and restaurants nearby. Does anyone else have other suggestions? This past March I saw some incomplete high rise condos in the area, does anyone know who the developer was?
We're looking into high rise only developments to make maintenance as mimimal as possible. SOMA is scheduled for completion Dec 2008 so I think the best time to buy is very soon to avoid the runup in prices as a project reaches completion.
Thanks in advance for you suggestions.
Bo

Hi Bo, SOMA is owned by the Antonio's of Century Properties, Mr. Antonio also happens to be an Ambasador to spain if I'm not mistaken. nice guy used to be one of my client's back there. You can call them at Century towers. I seem to have misplaced thier number. Marco the "COO" is head of sales. If you really want a condo at the fort my former boss has a place for sale there too... Depending on your budget, I would recommend Shang Grand Tower also at the Fort or a more reasonable unit at SoHo, which is near Starmall and Edsa Shangri-La Mall or try one of the Cityland properties which are really affordable. goodluck brad!

Hi Bo! It was nice meeting you at one of your manila visits in Atty Mike's house. Concerning your question ... I second that Shaw condos are very centralized. Shang for high end and SOHO for the not so high end. 6 malls are walking distance and your connected already to the MRT which in turn connects you to so much more shopping pleasures. Eastwood is another alternative. Not as good as Makati, Fort, or Ortigas but its biggest advantage is its close proximity to the bike trails in montalban. One of the major reasons why I live there now. Also its only walking distance to All Terra bikeshop. Greenhills Annapolis is another option. Greenhills is still my favorite shopping place. The strip is not very new and density is high but prices are very competitive. Hope I was of some help Cheers, padyakbud.com
