A couple of days after the surgeon said i was clear to bike (provided i have hydraulic brakes), I was sent to Brisbane for training. After 4 months with no saddle time, i decided to ride a bike... there ;D Why did i place this thread under this topic? Travelling is something that I want to explore more and since I enjoy biking, i married the two together. One of a kind, valet rental bike facility in the Botanical Park. This is where i rented my bike. Since I am just a rider I wasn't too keen on the bike parts. As long as i allows me to pedal, I'm good. They have a special lane for mt. bikes apart from the joggers... how lovely! By the river bank My attempt to take a photo while riding... Then I said, it maybe a good idea to dismount and take a self portrait... Me and the Story Bridge At the foot of the Bridge. Thanks to Fatima a Portugese, lady Mt. Biker who happened to have a water break was gracious to take my photo. The bike with the hot-pink frame is hers. From the Pier... I think i was able to bike for 10km for that day, by myself. I had fun discovering new things, seeing new sights and being able to navigate my way around using a map. Ah... I wish i can bike soon ~ in another country... Thanks for viewing (Mods, in case this is OT feel free to move the thread. Thank you)

So nice Kukai. Biking and Exploring for 10 kms by your lonesome self...in a foreign land...where everything is new...different...mindboggling...and fantastic. Nothing beats it. Ang sarap. I used to do the same last Apr-May while I was in New Jersey, New York, and Washington D.C. I was using mall bike of my nephews and nieces which was sufficient considering bike paths (trails) are well designated anyways. I took some pictures also. But decided not to post them because I was not wearing any helmet at that time. Beside pictures came out to be more of travelogue. Nobody to take pictures of us riding our bikes as we were exploring solo (by our happy selves).
