My brad and I use to have Dinobots, Grimlock and the Triceratops. 3 Pcs Constructicons, some minor Members of the autobots.
My mom gave it away. bought it on Philcite Fiesta Fair.
Now its just mass produce. I doubt the price is justified. (s hi t ,Just because it has a movie doesnt mean it needs to expensive)

i think it was the other night on TV...there's this dude who collects toy robots..spent around 3.5M already...i couldnt believe how expensive some pieces of his collections are...the older they get the more expensive.
so if you buy an original, dont let your kids touch the robot..keep the box...you can sell it for a good price in the future ;D
btw, we are block screening this movie at the podium on the night of the 28th...the trailer is awesome.

Philcite is Full of crying Kids during that time I was one of them! hehehehe Its a good thing I cried that day Now I cant wait to tell Mom that its worth her money, that she bought that dinobot for me. Because now I have a story to tell in this Forum. Remeber the Decepticon StarScream? It sucks Because theres a part that needs to be Remove when you transform it into a Robot. Is He an F-15 or a Mig Fighter? Anyway I just post this so it wont be Off Topic. Just Semi Off topic.

a review of the 80s movie for those who want to be nostalgic about it. Funny how the reviewer compared this to Star Wars . . . big planet destroyer, young hotshot hero, a mentor who dies . . .
Oh yeah, remember when Prime stands at the airdock and says . . . 'Megatron must be stopped. No matter what the cost . . . ' He trasnforms and then . . .
"You got the touch tan tan tan you got the power . . . " And he smashes across all them decepticons . . . gets to Megatron and says . . ."One shall stand, one shall fall" Yeah!

The Classic starscream was there, together with the other two jets. Classic Bumblebee and Cliffjumper were there too, but looks better, may hila pang jetski in vehicle mode. Ironhide and Starscream movie versions are priced at 1300++. Darn! I like the old starscream though. _______________ I cant remember what year but there was a time when they built a really huge Voltron replica in Philcite. ewan OT.

Ah the 80s ... hehe. What we had were three orig Takara "autobots" (I have 2 brothers kasi) although they weren't called that way yet until they came out on TV. (they used to be called Microchangers and Diaclone I think) I think we had Sideswipe, Bluestreak and Ratchet. Later one of my brothers got Soundwave as a gift (well I think he had to throw a crying fit before he got it hehe) which is uber cool since it came with Ravage and Laserbeak. He later had a Megatron too. Hmm for some reason he prefers the Decepticons since they transform better and are more ah playable.
I was a bigger fan of Macross and their fantastic valkyries though so I had my dad buy me a Takatoku Macross valkyrie instead. (now I have a nice collection of the newer Yamato series Valkyries hehe ;D ).

I watched it yesterday morning. It's the coolest flick I've seen so far. Imagine, Bad Boys direction with Jurassic Park animation about 3 generations better. Great action, cast and some humor. You'll appreciate it if you grew up watching the cartoons. If you're a car buff, then you'll like it more. I hope there's a sequel.

Famous in the 80's so I guess I was one of the most thrilled guys to watch this movie. Michael Bay did awesome in this movie so awesome that I plan to watch this in 3 weeks time. So far the best for me this 2007!!! Dont miss this guys! My wife never seen the cartoons nor heard about it but she was so engrossed in the movie and was getting a lil emotional I told her..."it's a movie" but this is "The Movie". I wont be surprised if it beats Spidey 3 in gross sales. 5 Stars!!!

My Thursday night was completely sold 'cause once again Michael Bay didn't disappointed us. I've seen Transformers in a handful of trailers/ sneak previews but last night was AWESOME! On the bigscreen! Aside from that, seated with Tolits & his family was another cool thing. The robots are larger than life! Bay's vision about the cult-comic and animation of the eighties has become one of the greatest CGI of all time. The only thing that turned me off a bit, the movie has ocassional cheesiness-Sam Witwicky's goofines, trying to impress Mikaela Banes. Well, I could live with it-spice up the movie though! Spielberg and Bay has created a gigantic, spectacular and summer blockbuster movie!
Autobots RULE!!!!
Thanks a bomb, Sir Tolits!

you're welcome onie...nice to meet your sisters too. same here...i hate that those parts...it consumed too much time more than i think it should. and whatever happened to that foxy decoder and the fat guy? they seemed to develope the characters for nothing much...or perhaps this movie was heavily edited. overall i think transformers is a great entertaining film..not the same impact to me though when i first saw robocop 1...you know the cool moves hehe! some actions were just too fast for my eyes...yeah i know, i heard that...my eyes are failing and i'm an old man.

Saw the movie last night...and yes, i was impressed. I basically grew up with the Transformers and they did justice to the animated series. I liked the parts where bumblebee would blast radio tunes apt for the moment...hehe like "baby come back...any kind of fool would see..." dadada. there were some holes in the story but hey, i came to see them robots! The best movie ever. Funny not so many people watched it yesterday. For those of you who haven't seen the movie, go see it. Mabangis! I'm itching to unload some movie spoilers, but nah...hehe

trademark Michael Bay through and through . . . honestly it's like watching Armageddon. It's not a complaint though, it's just that you should know what to expect when you watch this movie. Fast action, dramatic slow shots, the helicopter by the sunset shot, the boy-girl in the afternoon shot . . . don't expect any deep story/character dev't also. This movie is pure adrenaline. Special effects, top notch. When you walk to the parking lot after this movie, you can't help but think if those cars in the lot would just suddenly transform!
I like the first half of the movie, with all the dicovery phase ek ek happening (again, like Armageddon where they slowly piece together that an asteriod is coming their way etc). And like Sabretooth says, it's great how they got Bumblebee to play them songs (the most character dev't perhaps in the entire movie . . . everyone else are just soldiers duking it out).
Again, this movie I think is already quite good, but I wish they had spent a little more time developing the characters, what's 30 more minutes to the movie for this? If you liked Deep Impact over Armageddon, you may feel shortchanged with this movie. If you though Armageddon was great, then you'd have a lot of fun with this.

watched the movie with the my wifey and 2 "adult" sons last sat. and only a coupla words to describe it : AWESOME, SUPER AND NON-STOP ACTION/ENTERTAINMENT A REAL BANG FOR BUCK MOVIE ;D ;D only one question though, based on my observation: when the autobots or decepticons speak : they speak in a deep baritone robot-ish voice, but how come when they are being bombed or gunned down repeatedly they cry and squeal like cats (tagalog speak "boses k*k*" cry)

I liked the effects, the chic, the detail of the soldiers uniforms (even though it was an obvious advertisement for Crye Precision's Multicam. Even if their uniforms kept switching from Desert Marpat, Acupat, and Multicam), and I liked the first part of the film. The story became boring for me when the sector 7 guys came in. I couldn't relate to some of the robots too. It was like watching brad pitt with the personality of robert de niro. dehins ko pa rin matanggap bakit dehins Ambulance si ratchet at pulang van si iron hide (Trans: I still cant accept the fact that Ratchet and Iron Hide weren't an ambulance and a big red van).

coz it's one big advertisement for GM vehicles for me, the climax was when the autobots finally came. I think they could have made the entire first part of the movie one whole movie altogether, focusing only on the kid and bumblebee . . . and then the movie would end when finally they're able to send the signal and the rest of the autobots come in.

There's obviously a part II! . and for those who want a little bit more, there's a four-part comics prequel to the movie...pretty much explains things.
im just disappointed there ain't movie toys available in the market. all's left are scorponoks, and them tiny bots used for keychain. tsk
