I just upgraded my MP3 player. I was just wondering what songs do you listen to while working out (Gym)
I listen to Bring me back to life Save Me -Remy Zero
While on the Threadmill Navy Seal cadence
Cycling or spining
The song from Lance Armstrong Nike commercial.
How about you?

;D they have music in the gym where I go to... usually there's no "certain" type of music that they play.. just random stuff... They even play songs by the Hagibis... Legs legs, Katawan.. heh heh.. yuckkk ;D Maybe Yoyoy Villame's "Mag-exercise Tayo" But when the time comes that they will play April Boy's song... maybe Its time to change my gym Seriously, when I run I usually listen to songs by Yngwie Malmsteen or Steve Vai.

;D Seriously, when I run I usually listen to songs by Yngwie Malmsteen or Steve Vai. Ei nice to know there are other guitar virtuoso music fans here Malmsteen's "Far beyond the sun," "Blackstar," and "Eclipse" are long-time faves of mine and along with other hyper-kinetic shred-fest songs could really help you get a good, fast workout. Personally i really like Steve Vai's musicality but for me they're not quite appropriate for spinning exercises not like, say Satriani's "Crushing day" or "Ice9" guitar instrumentals rock!

I already did a "Rock thread" so let's add another one: the guitar hero/instrumental/geek sub-genre. there we could discuss our guitar musicality, our rigs, fave mode (mine's phrygian dominant btw ;D), best solos, best tone, best hair etc. hehe ;D

do you guys play the guitar by the way? ano rig nyo? i used to play rhythm in a band here b4 for 2 years (1998-1999). we play in a fil/am bar once a month, and performs on special occasions, weddings or birthdays. it's not a thing that you could make a profit out of it--it's just the gig that we are looking for. we play alternatives, 70's including juan dela cruz hehehe. we're old school. im using squire with zoom acoustic pedal by the way, mountguitars. they're all in my archives.

i was always a guitar player, learning the 6 string freak since grade school, until now i still play occasionally, in between gigs but not in bars but just in rock festivals, my work was taking me away from playing in gigs. been a rythm guitarist since college, my influence is SKA, been frustrated since coz i can't fined a decent horn section for my band , but mainly i do play anything Rock and Roll, been through lots of genres, speed/thrash metal (college), reggae/rocksteady, alternative pop/rock, old school punk, acid jazz, etc. and also i idolize pure guitarists and listen to eric johnson, joesat, vai, blues saraceno (the famed guitarist of poison, now gone solo since being replaced by ritchie kotzen), neil zazza, al di meola, paul gilbert, stevie ray vaughn, and too many more. i own an ibanez GRG270 but sold it recently coz i plan to replace it with either a Les Paul (if ever i can afford heheh) or a fender strat. going back to the topic, i listen to SKA/Rocksteady/reggae tunes (save ferris, reel big fish, mighty mighty bosstones, the early no doubt (can't bear gwen stefanie strutting some new and disturbing experimentals), also rock and roll tunes, or any track from RATM (rage against the machine) to pump me up for work outs or rides. especially when i listen to RATM, pumps me up big time

Of course he has all PaulG's solo albums. i attended paul gilbert's clinic way back (5yrs ago?). spearheaded by audiophile, he was also here to endorse ibanez guitars (which led the way to having ibanez guitars to be sold in the philippines). i also attended billy sheehan's clinic at the yupangco main office (gil puyat, makati). he was also here to endorse his new yamaha bass guitar series. both these guys are down to earth. started out like most ordinary folks but now, they're considered guitar gods. my favorite song from mr. big: green tinted sixties mind. really pumps me up. i miss my old band, too. i miss the highschool/college days.
