Update lang on FPMEE team climbing Cho Oyu.. The team made it to the summit plateau but had to turn back 100 meters from the true summit because of the strong winds and fist-sized hailstones. The team only started using oxygen at 7,000 meters, while Karina Dayondon went all the way without oxygen. Regie Pablo has frostbitten fingers. All of them are now safely in Kathmandu where Regie will get medical treatment. They hope to return to Manila Thursday or Friday next week. www.abs-cbnnews.com/storypage.aspx?StoryId=52939 |

karina is superb, she's very fit to take on everest, mentally and physically... not sure on the others... lets just support them... hope that their unity climb will be successfull and not a disaster... keep it up team everest!!!

I THINK they will use the south route the same route leo, pastor, and romi used.. tibet side ...kudos to karina 8THOUSANEERS Mountain without the aid of S.O.....pinayyy rockss

what route will they take on everest next year? north or south? they will take both route ( half will take the north col and half on the south col) and will meet at the summit... that's why they said it as the unity climb for 2007 |

cool, let's hope the weather permits that they reach the summit at the same time both from the north and south
