Learn more Date: Wed, 30 Apr 2008 11:26:44 -0400 Subject: New Video-Brandon Vera Training Camp (4-29-08) Brandon Vera Vs. Fabricio Werdum June 7, 2008 UFC It's been a long time since we updated Brandon's blog. For those that don't know Brandon broke his hand on the first punch of the fight against Tim Sylvia. He had to have surgery right away. One of the best hand surgeons in the World performed the surgery and after extensive therapy "The Truth" is back. The video that you're about to see is the tail end of what Brandon said "I'm just getting my ass kicked, next week it will be better". clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=73Yrq&m=8RvO59M.IJCRD&b=TILYvKBWded79egdppuAPQMake sure you leave a comment on Brandons blog for us.

The challenge against Sylvia was size, with Werdum it's sick skills.
Experience and conditioning should hopefully be Brandon's edge.
Personally, I wished Brandon didn't make his side trip here to promote UFC. It cut his training by a couple of weeks. I hope it doesn't affect him in the fight. Imagine, your opponent is hard at training in Chute Boxe preparing for you while you make TV appearances and demoes at Trinoma....

His standup experience will be the advantage although Werdum is bigger and has a longer reach. I don't know about the clinch though. Werdum is now with Chute Boxe and that's their specialty.

Anybody standing up with Anderson is a disaster waiting to happen. GSP-Penn 2 will be good. It was one os GSP's toughest tests. Penn was beating GSP until he gassed (injured?). Penn is now in great shape. This I'd like to see.

I'm just browsing the channels a few hours ago then I saw UFC Wired...It was UFC 79 This was the first time I saw GSP coz I only heard about his name and his fighting with Matt Hughes. GSP had a solid body and he's really on a great shape. GSP won by submission(arm lock) on that fight. It's been a long time since I've watched UFC and there are lots of new great fighter...I don't know there name na..hehe ;D

BJ would need to up his game though. GSP has improved tremendously from their last encounter. Besides that, GSP is naturally bigger and stronger with cardio not an issue. I don't know who to root for if they fight.

After watching the BJ Penn vs. Muscle Shark Sherk fight, I'm now quitting the gym and going to start a running regimen instead. And oh... start taking those Japanese growth pills. Height and speed and smooth moves wins over muscles! When the going gets too tough, I'll run away instead!!!

Thiago Silva almost got knocked out by a vicious kick to the head. It would have been sweet vengeance for what he did (or should I say the referee did) to karo Parisyan!
