i'll be coming from cavite this friday. i might be at Quezon Ave.-MRT 7:00pm, questions: 1. Will 8pm still be a good arrival? 2. Can somebody lend me a badminton racket? 3. Will you take good care of a badminton newbie? unbounded by etiquette, i'll try to come. kasi cavite to the venue is a long way eh. tapos we have a clark ride the next day pa. i'll come na lang if i can come. 1. Will 8pm still be a good arrival? - yes, 8pm is a good time coz if you see how gadgets play we will all be wasted by that time so 8PM he's gonna start wasting you. Hahahahaha ;D ;D 2. Can somebody lend me a badminton racket? - mhelai answered that already. 3. Will you take good care of a badminton newbie? - I'm street player where wind velocity/direction wont tell the shuttle____ (spell check) where it is going. Ask gadgets to be gentle to you (palo2x only) Arci brad, You are most welcome here!!! Kaw pa! BTW, I'm still very tentative on this coz of the Sat ride...but I can sleep in the bus on my way to CAB.

Tito Arci, it will be an honor to meet you if you can come. You can choose from my collection of Yonex and clonex rackets. 5 minutes is all I ask and I promise to give you a tip that will change your badminton career! (for better I hope!) 1. Will 8pm still be a good arrival? - yes, 8pm is a good time coz if you see how gadgets play we will all be wasted by that time so 8PM he's gonna start wasting you. Hahahahaha ;D ;D 2. Pards, you'll be my partner. Let's see how Pete and his sexy partner distracts us with their moves. If I get tired, there's always Mhelai to subs in my place. P.S. If shuttlecacti seems to be an awkward word, we can use "bird". Origin: the "bird" being made up of goosefeathers, thus.

im trying out this sport this afternoon. i'll see if i have a future here. last week i discovered bowling's not for me...hehe. canal magnet! Badminton is very physical and fast paced. If you're not into "body-genius" sports like tennis, fencing, gymnastics and boogie), then it will take a while to shake that body. Very important to do your warm-ups and cool-downs to prevent injuries. Injury isn't a bad thing. 3 repeated ankle sprains and 1 twisted knee got me into biking. A wonderful new experience and a whole new world to conquer. I'm recovering nicely. Bowling (like golf and billiards) is more a mental-tactile sport (mental calculation-feel of situation-calming of nerves) than a "physical-body genius" sport. The understanding of techniques (which I can share with those interested) and physics (which I taught in the academe) involved will magically turn your C-game into a B-game in a very short time of training. It's an expensive sport but I'd enjoy playing once in a while. Anybody want a free tip, just let me know. But sorry, I'm not a class A player. Class C maybe. Going back to the topic, badminton (like table-tennis or other racket-handgripped sports) requires man and equipment to become one. Thus, the journey may take some time. Discover the right racket for you by borrowing from friends and trying them out. There is no need to buy the most expensive equipment or shoes because it is a personal thing. Good luck! Let's play on our next Badd-Picnic-EB. Let's hope the "sandwich" girl and the "cookie" girl show up next time.

Mondy! you can't ban me on the badminton court!!! can you!!! nyenyenyenyenye!!!!! Hi Mr. Incredible! (Playmate of the month) I'm a member of the National Orthopedic Team! I wish I started the game 30 years ago instead of last year. This newly acquiainted game just felt natural to me. The moves are nice eh? Except that when you're my age, osteo-arthritis sets in, and there's rheumatism, and lack of energy! My badminton game is way over-rated, thanks to you guys. ;D Remind me to give you a kiss next time I think table-tennis (pingpong) is a more acquainted game for me. Having played it for more than 10 years. Grr... Now that you got yourself addicted to badminton, it's time to change our next EB into... a PPP-EB... Pingpong-Picnic-Photoshoot EB!!! Abangan (to be continued...)

I'll tell you guys if my amoeba-speed and sardine can-high leaps take me places in this game. hehe. im nervous already...why are all first times like this? tsk. Enjoy life to the fullest (we only have one life to live). Do you best at all times (so you can look back with pride). Be courteous and generous to everybody (so you have more friends, more fun, and more bleep-bleep... and of course, you don't get banned or moderated...) Try to experience you "first-times" while you're young. Don't hold back. Don't quit. You'll have a harder time getting your body to adjust when you're 90. I know how it feels... and I'm only halfway there. Go! Go! Go! Just do it!

Re: the cross-training sessions. Just let me know the kind of activities you like, if I'm familiar with it, I can spearhead them. For those activities like Boogie, we'd need a real pro to handle them, probably Mr. Incredible. See you at the next palu-palo (flying and smashing) game, Mr. Fly! (reminds me of the movie BACK TO THE FUTURE 1-2-3!)

been two days after my break-in badminton game. uh...some sore upper body muscles still achin, especially my right lower arm. hehe. my opponent made me run around, grabe. it was a nice first for me. i was practically clueless as to what a racket game like this is. now i know. them other players at the chut badminton court at proj 7 were flying. gosh. nahiya naman ako.
but the good thing is i met a fellow byker there... who wears the same helmet and frame color, a white cannondale hybrid bike with miniature touring bags. astig.
