anyone here who plays table tennis? i've been itching to hold a racket again after a long absence. anyone know any training pools open to old farts like me? i've no intention of competing professionally, i just want to experience playing ping-pong on an above average level again.

Count me in. Haven't played for a couple of years. I was a tambay at the tables in our school. I have an almost new and barely used racket I want to use. Although I'm sure that my playing is now worse than before which is not good at all to begin with.
Joes, there has been always a good crowd at Amoranto if your from the QC area. Some of them are older, much older. I wouldn't dare to go there by my self though. I never won against the locals at my best, but I certainly learned a lot after.

You can also play at Camp Crame where a group of old timers regularly play. Venue is at the gym (badminton/basketball court).

My Tackiness Drive has been gathering dust for... hmm... 25 years? Have so many questions: 1. Can I still play the game? 2. Has the rubber expired? 3. What is above average level? 4. Also, is there an attire for the sport? ;D We can never tell until the items in question are put to the test! Lemme know when and where... I'm IN.

GUYS!!! I discovered that our condo has an old table-tennis-table-looking table stashed on a corner by the poolside. Looks like we can use it if... anybody can bring a NET. I have some balls for the game. Tomorrow is a good time! Pimp! Bring your weapon and let's get it on!

Table tennis... Those were the glorious days when I was still young and eager not to mention a couple of pound lighter. I would love to play again. I have a paddle tuck somewhere for like 3 years alraedy. Just used once and never again.
Please count me in if ever.

One thing I've found out is that it's like riding a bike, you don't forget, you just need to play again to rediscover your skills. I miss my old Stiga rackets. Does anyone know if you can get them here?

Wahooo! Count me in. This is my indoor sport. Used to play 4-5 times a week last rainy season. Is there anybody tried using Sandpaper skins paddle? Hihi. All out offense or defense! Nah! Using rubbers now. mzmn: (Stiga) Yah there's still available at Tobys or just purchase some skins at Raon. Save the old wood (stiga) paddle man! Weight differences.. The enw ones are to light on my opinion. So lets go SSSSpppiiinnnn!

I'll have to rummage through my stuff, but I do know there are at least two rackets. Will pass by Toby's this week when I get another Deuter bag.

I never won against the locals at my best, but I certainly learned a lot after. Where in Amoranto QC? Let's have a table-tennis EB sometime soon! Peeps! Get your pingpong rackets ready! I'm gonna get my old Shaolin form back! I'll do some stretching right away! Oohh... my back! You can also play at Camp Crame where a group of old timers regularly play. Venue is at the gym (badminton/basketball court). This place open to the public? Tables good? What are we waiting for? I'll have to rummage through my stuff, but I do know there are at least two rackets. Will pass by Toby's this week when I get another Deuter bag. When do we play?
