Here's the screenshot during bootup Then it hangs. When I press the RESET switch, that's the time Windows will load properly. Never boots once. Have to boot twice every time? Anybody know what's wrong? Thank you!

What motherboard? Seems your mobo is tryin to boot via lan network Try playing around with the bios ... Try disabling onboard lan boot rom (or something similar sounding) Try other hard disks Try different boot sequences If it is a SATA hdisk, try using different SATA ports, or a new SATA cable (SATA cable connectors can get loose with use)

The old DFI mobo with 1GB RAM.
I got some questions with the BIOS settings: - UMA Frame buffer: choice of 32-64-128MB (I chose 64) - VGA aperture size? choice of 32MB-2GB. (I chose 128) What is the optimal settings?
In the Integrated Device submenu - Onboard LAN Device is ENABLED (if disabled, the DSL won't detect the onboard LAN port). - Onboard 1394 Device is DISABLED (what is this for?) - Onboard LAN BOOT ROM is DISABLED (DISABLED all the time)
In the Standard CMOS features submenu: - IDE Channel 0 Master is DVD drive - IDE Channel 2 Master is the SATA HD drive
I still haven't found the solution to my boot-reset-boot problem yet.
Btw, AVG scanner keep detecting viruses in the Temporary Internet Files Folder every minute or so, as if something is resident and reproducing them there.
P.S. Don't download any file that spells D@@pthr@at. Darn it, messed up my system.)

It is possible that the motherboard/bios is not detecting the hdisk fast enough. You can try a bios update. When and how did this problem start? It used to boot ok right?

Used to boot properly until I started visiting virus infected sites. I checked the BIOS and I'm booting on a HDD, not LAN or CD. What's a BIOS update? Are you suggesting I have to flash the BIOS??? I have a trauma because I once fried the BIOS that way... ;D ;D
