I'm a very big fan of radeon though nvidia overtook them in the market share since last year dew to delayed delivery of the graphics processecor, they are now rebuilding their streng by releasing the upcoming R600 series that will battle the gforce 8 series! right now they already release a ne engine though not designed for gaming rather its target market are for scientific and mathematical purposes! I'm hoping for the resurgence of the RED DEVIL!

Yup!!! Thhough Nvidia's GF 8800GTX supports the lates Diect X 10 technology, Radeon X1950 XTX outrun it in core and memory clockspeed

When it comes to display/picture quality, nothing beats the radeon chips.
8800 series? no way! (not yet) not unless I wanna play on a real high resulotion display. my 1900xtx still rocks. at the moment, i can't find a game that my card can't handle.
ok, back to topic; I can't say which is better than the two, they both make good chips. only nvidia is leading.

Nvidia 8800 series rules the benchmarks ... but having said that ... Radeon 1950XTX (down to around 15k na lang yata) comes out as a better value since it is much cheaper than 8800GTX or 8800GTS while having roughly similar real world performance with the majority of currently available games. Radeon's picture quality usually looks better too (richer n more saturated colors, thicker fonts, blacker blacks) and AVIVO spanks PureVideo in terms of video playback too.
On the other hand, I am perfectly happy with my 7950GT and even good ole 6800GS on the other PC so am not about to upgrade. (bike parts muna!) However things might change when DX10 games come out. I hope the 2900XT will be priced as competitively as the 1950XTX.

Yes numbers are said to be absolute but still can be decieving! In reality, the personal experience will tell which is which! Unless any futher delays plague ATI, let wait until the Radeon 2900XTX arrives!!!
