hi all!
i thought i'd start this thread for nintendo ds owners (like me). aliw sya laruin, and has games even for non-hardcore gamers like me. but what really clinched the deal for me is the game "new super mario bros" which is available on the ds. napa-reminisce ako about my childhood and the family computer.

got a ds for my 5 year old daughter ( which is actually for me too ;D) and she liked the nintendogs so much! bought a pokemon game and i got hooked. the ds cartridges seemed expensive though that's why i'm still on the hunt for games really good enough to buy and keep.

the new version i think is the ds lite. it'll cost something like 9k to 10k. as far as i know it doesn't play mp3 or movies or even surf the net unless someone has made aftermarket solutions for these. but it can be used for mutliple player games via a wireless connection.

Actually you can get it cheaper. Here's where: Tipidpc.com Greenhills THeatermall: - Celtex (near Food Court area) - Gamestop Prices of the DSLite go for 7.5k brand new in any of the available colors. Also, you guys should look into flashcarts - a way to play downloadable roms and homebrew on your ds's. It's also the only way you can run mp3s, videos, images, and text files on your DS. You spend around the same amount of money you would normally pay for 3 DS carts and have an unlimited gaming experience. Google R4DS, Supercard, EZFlash, etc. PM me if anyone's interested in getting hooked up. I'll be glad to help you along another hobby- syo

Hmmm...I guess me and my 6-yr old son haven't really gone thru with all the features of his Nintendo DSLite and everything it has to offer after all. All we do with that is play with crappy Spiderman and Transformers games! ;D @qt_kat, is this keeping you from biking up north? Missed you guys, hope to see you at the 24hr challenge . edge808, will PM you as well sir, I really get to have that DS functioning at its fullest! ;D Thanks!

brad's...Sis'... just bought my 5 year old son one last month. We all liked it.
We run our DS-Lite with a 2GB fire card. I think it is a memory card. I had bought the DS Lite package while I was in China.
So far... I have only installed a few games but there are still more I have not explored...
some DS game titles that we are using: - Super Mario - Super Mario Kart - Kim Possible - TMNT - Need for Speed: Underground - Dragon Ball
Just PM me.
Or maybe we can have an EB... haha... ;D

hi guys, newbie here Just a reminder to those who are using the flash ROMS with DS. THe ROms are very delicate so avoid leaving it exposed in extreme temperatures. My friend`s ROM did not work after not using it for several weeks so I opened it up and sprayed contact cleaner, then removed the micro sd from the slot and the DS detected the ROM again.
enjoy

qt_kat, the ds browser is good but you can only use it with ther4DS or any other flash reader if you have the memory module that comes with the original app.
