Ey Guys,
Just wondering, I've seen this on several key benefits of the latest phones. Is this service available locally? My impression is this is some sort of walkie-talkie feature of phones. would be a great gadget during rides
Thanks

As far as I know, PTT over Cellular is not yet available commercially in the Philippines (unless you count Nextel). I don't think the big mobile telcos (Smart, Globe) would be too keen on providing the service, as it would cannibalize their existing voice traffic.
If anyone were to launch it, though, it would be Smart. Their all-Nokia infrastructure would make it easy to deploy a PTT service. Smart/Nokia did demo some PTT applications during an event promoting SIP earlier this year.

thanks sir woofers. do hope they change their minds, since PTT would be over short range only.
