Donskido - I'll be riding the course 'blind' too - with no first-hand experience of El Kabayo. I heard it's 2.7km x 10 laps. I don't have spare cogs so I'll be using my VooDoo Dambala + 32x18 ratio. El Kabayo? I don't have any idea about this area either... he he, I just wish there is a kabayo pulling me up.... Thanks...

and Agu wants to do the whole 27kms pa ... SS godzilla! 6 pack of beer x 355ml = 2130ml I think that's enough to fill one hydration bladder and last the 27km. 27km ÷ 2.1L = 12.8km/L That's pretty good mileage. Hehehe!

Yup. I was really worried when I came across her on the trail (I later learned that Rex moved her to a safer spot). I stayed with her till the medics came. She wasn't reacting when I was talking to her and when I held her hand.
Glad to hear she's going to be alright. And hope she gets back on her bike eventually.

...join the Philippine National SS XC Championship Competition @ the Terry Larrazabal Bike Festival. And watch for the special clause/requirement we'll be coming out with for all SS competitors! It'll be an intoxicating experience! Congrats to Rex! The Philippine's SS Champion! Hmmm...guess they decided to forego the special clause/requirement, eh?

That was really kind of you, Agu! we re all glad she had you to help her then, brad There were about 4 people with her when I passed the section. I thought it was just a wound problem because that section was before the rockies...I slowed down and saw her propped up then continued on I should have stopped and asked how serious the situation was ...a lesson learned for me

No worries Arnel. She had ample help na when you got there, so don't feel bad that you didn't stop and ask.
When I arrived on the scene I had no idea that Rex had already did his part to help her, so I stayed, if only to warn approaching riders (good thing the medics responded as fast as they can too). It looked quite serious to me. But all's well that ends well. And your update on her condition is great news. Will tell Rex too. Thanks!

sup! good move changing tires the day before! i lost you on that steep, loose dh section because i had to walk it. wish i was able to pre-ride it on saturday but the downhill race was going on. i also wished i had a 20 cog! patrick, (kervin's dad, 5th place behind you) switched to a 20 or 21 the night before and spun past me on the second climb when i had to push! got to ride my SSer more often. that's what happens when you ride geared too often! you become a piss poor P1SSer!

King, that's what happens when you ride geared on the road too often hehehe
Race was fun - especially the downhill part, but yes, the climb was really a killer!

Congrats to all ss warriors for joining and finishing the race. The last uphill was difficult enough for geared bikes and you all finished the race with a single gear Special mention to Agu for finishing 3rd in SS cat ... you're the true SS idol dude
