I like it! very versatile and an elegant SSolution. one of those "why didn't I think of that" idea.
I'm not a big fan of carbon mtbs, but this may just change my mind. A Ti version would definitely be nice.

I wouldn't worry about Ibis carbon fiber bikes.... they stand behind their products if it ever fails (which is highly unlikely if used for it's intended purpose)...

sorry im a clyde, so i have a natural mistrust for stuff that can break apart suddenly under stress, with little or no warning.

Hey Gary if your going to get it i suggest you ask for extra bolts?
16 pounds.. dang... i think i ate that much food in dampa once...
