@ Petersince i'm not using the biggest chainring of my XT crank - is it ok if i replace it with Shimano bashguard as shown above di ba awkward since my set-up is XC? or it's really all up to me since it's my bike anyway ;D ;D ;D i think it's uncommon kasi for an XC crank to have a bashguard - most commonly use for FR & DH lang di ba

Hans Rey and Ryan Leech use the same combo baliktad lang Truvativ bash and shimano cranks (XT, Hone respectively)

Hans Rey and Ryan Leech use the same combo baliktad lang Truvativ bash and shimano cranks (XT, Hone respectively) i think the truvativ bashring is more durable than shimano thats why they use it but more expensive, i just put a bashring for cosmetic reason so the shimano is ok with me.

truvativ bashrings are made of aluminum alloy, it has different purpose with that shimano.

i got a shimano bash guard too (model FC-m800) , but the holes are too big for my chainring bolts (truvativ). Did you use washers, FR707? or bigger bolts?

i used washer given to me by israel(john wilkie), i thinks its available daw at aircon parts store or auto parts shop
