recommended gearing is 2:1, but most folks dont follow what's recommended. I use 32X18. Personally, i think the 32X32 is feasible but is not energy effecient.... This is open to correction.

A 1:1 (32tx32t) ratio is not too efficient (unless you are climbing really steep stuff, then again, traction is another matter). 32x24 should be doable, you can always stop and admire the view going up Bagiuo

I think a 2:1 ratio is good for climbing also, for a certain period I fixed my gears on this combination for urban and hard climbing. Just practice your legs.

umm... let me see... i commute from home to school.. i think it a 40-45deg incline... or maybe the incline on flyovers... but a little bit steeper.... and just before you reach the top, there would be a steeper climb where i 32x32 is too hard after pedalling 400m of climb with 32x24, so i shift to 24x32.... so,,, should i still get a ss for my commuter or not???

are you sitting or standing at this point? sitting and spinning is not the most efficient way to get up a hill, on an SS stand up and hammer

i think the 9-1 converter is about php800 and the tensioner in around php600... my suggestion is to use just one cog of your cassette and put PVC pipe for spacing!!!!!!

how much will it cost if i convert it??? what hub should i buy??? how about SS sprocket and most especially how much??? ;D ;D ;D Most of the time it's ZERO...all you have to do is remove all the gears and cables hanging around your bike, shorten the chain and put a tensioner if needed...
