It was another great adventure with PinoyMTBiker. We were such a big group that we got ourselves divided into 3 groups. One opted to take the scenic route while our groups went to Tower 3 and Tower 1. Paolo really enjoyed it. kate, we're neighbors already. I also bought land in La Mesa ;D while bombing down from Tower 3. Thanks for the medical attention. The food was great but Paolo was disappointed ... walang itlog yung adobo!!! @pete, next time lutuin mo ka agad before the egg becomes a chicken BTW, Paolo and I went down to the Lake after lunch. The place is so calming with birds flying over the water. Our guide even brought us to another location where there was a bamboo platform on top of the water ... sarap matulog at magmuni-muni Thanks for the company guys! See you next time! Here are some pics: At the Santolan parking lot, being briefed by the Forest Ranger in charge. Here are the guys looking up to Tower 3. Obviously, we were on top. The typical Father & Son pose at Tower 3 Singletrack heaven ... Paolo with our guide, Christopher (who needs a helmet) Tungaan ng Jelly Ace at Tower 1 Paolo with the scarecrow at Tower 1 La Mesa welcome sign The lake view at the campsite Our secret place by the lake Hey Soloflight! Thanks for welcoming me to the "Brotherhood of the Broken Knee" Andrew, you have the pics, right? Post it please! Here is Paolo's pic of my knee:

Just like a box-office action-adventure movie, La Mesa Picnic ride has to have a sequel. This is the sequel and so this ride can aptly be called La Mesa Picnic Ride II : The Two Towers. Since its a sequel then it would mean new adventures and a bigger cast. Thirty-nine riders came. The group was divided into three. We started from the parking area down the single track trail used for the 24 hour race (deja vu eh! ;D). When we reached the y point, we took the trail going to Tower 3 while the other half (the softporn riders as Rocky said) opted to ride just the 24 hour race loop. After reaching Tower 3, we thought "hey its still early, why dont we go to Tower 1". Everyone agreed so we decided to go to Tower 1. I think this is the farthest tower. Never-ending single tracks, uphills and downhills. It was XC heaven! We finished the ride around 12 noon and just in time for lunch which I think everybody's been waiting for. Thanks to all who brought their share. We were able to fill our stomachs with rice, adobo, ginataang tilapia, salted egg, green mango, lechon baka?, gourmet chocolates, banana, jellyace, cheetos, boy bawang and washed it down with soda, juice and water. Pete's adobo got bored waiting for us so all the fats fell asleep. (trans.: nakatulog ang taba - in short sebo) ;D ;D Two thumbs-up for the spicy ginataang tilapia (thanks sir Arci) - yumyum! I found out something while having lunch.....34cog (Allen) is a chocoholic! 'Twas nice to see new faces and meet new friends. I hope there'll be more fun rides like this. Our share of pics: at the parking area waiting for the others a short briefing by a La Mesa forester allen and arlem in the pic start of the padyak single file lang po Tower 3 on our way to Tower 1, radical had a flat tire....bikedaddy, radical1962, Kevin moi getting near Tower 1 ghorio's family portrait ;D ;D ;D view from Tower 1 smoggy Metro Maarat? Jellyace session at Tower 1 last uphill stretch on the way back...berns behind me The P200 entrance fee was sulit!

34cog, if it's ok, I'd like to join anyone going back to the Eco Trail. It's a good idea to go back before it starts raining, because it'll become one big mud pit.

mga sirs, i missed doing towers one and three. let's do it when we come back. just bring packed lunch so that we don't need to go back to the base and instead have our lunch on the trails. that way we cover more trails and go home early include me in your plans (PM me) TIA ;D 34cog, if it's ok, I'd like to join anyone going back to the Eco Trail. The others went straight...for a nicer ride. Pls include me if you are planning to go back there. i only saw 1/4 of La Mesa. ...if I'm not mistaken I was with your group. Arci, correct ba ako?

yukon, yup we were with the group that had 34cog (allen) and the pastors (kaya pala we were blessed with so many things eh....hehehe) that made a right turn at the Y-fork. 34cog is the guy wearing the "luminous" green jersey, if my memory still serves me right, the tuberculosis brigade was composed of: fafarock, solid snake, mt. goatee, komz (?), lui-g, marlon, msmn and 2 buddies, yukon, arci, pazigrider and that group from pasig that was with 34cog yata. korek ka diyan, i think we just covered mga 1/4 lang ng ecotrail. we need to get back brad let's huff and puff our way up to the twin towers (tower 1 and 3) and have our date with mordor

yukon, mzmn, sure, we will be glad to have you guys with us when we do go back to lamesa. the pastors couldnt get enuf of it. robert, a church elder and worship leader was the one in the red merida. they started riding with us late last year and since then we think twice before we cuss while panting up a steep hill, hehe. we also plan to bring fishing rods and bait if ranger glenn will allow us to fish in the lake the pastors are impressed with the camaraderie in PinoyMTBiker. they were at the nvp bday ride and driver and tofi helped benji change a flat at slex. he couldnt forget that. they were also surprised with the potluck we had in lamesa, because we do that in church at least once a month. pero yung da bes....free chocolates! gimme, gimme gimme!
