The Zhongkun Huangshan MTB Festival. The race was held in Yi county, Huanshan, PR China on April 15, 2006... Organized by the China Cycling Associatio in cooperation with Nordic ways and supported by the Swedish and the Norwegian. We are only three pinoys who join the 50Km XC race... the trail is combination of flat, 7 Km climbs with elevation of 2000ft to the top, DH, technical trail and some portion of pave road near the finish line. Just want to share the pictures shot by the paparazzi... ;D Before the start of the race, Registration Booth for confirmation The team DG (Roy, Oqei, Bongjumper, OnebyOne, KnK, MechTiTi) Start of the Race KnK, race action shot OnebyOne with the a foreigner participants Bongjumper, race action shot OnebyOne, race action shot Cris Eatough (6 time solo world champion and top 10 rider on the NORBA XC), race action shot Bongjumper near the finish line KnK after the Race OnebtOne after the race The Podium, Chris Eatough "The Champion" with team DG The pinoy band who made the party lively... Some extra shots of the place where the race was held... These village developed and flourised during the ming (1368~1644) and Qing dynasty (1644 ~1911). The place where Ang Lee's movie Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was filmed.

please forgive me for asking: 7km clilmb, elevation of 12000ft? da*n that's a 30 degree angle we're talking about, for 7km! is this correct?

Could be the total elevation gain of the whole course. Just like the Project X we have here in Lamma, completing the 5km lap will give you a 210m total elevation gain. Or it could be the highest point of the course. Bong, enlighten us, please. Also, next time, mang-aya naman kayo! ( trans: I wasn't invited. ) ;D ;D ;D

I owe an apology to everyone... lost in calculation for the elevation... I check once again the Map... And here is more further explanation about the trail map...after 6 kms of the trail start to climb until 13 Kms with elevation of 2000ft...and start to descend until 17 kms...then combination of technical trail until 25 kms... you need to do two rounds to complete the 50Km... Bee, Sorry for that dre, we forget to invite you... sana saya natin doon...

Not only Chis Eatough, the 2nd and 3rd place is also Pro from Australia... I forget the name ... This is really unforgetable experience ... ;D
