Usual mistakes in starting out to learn back hops:
Pinoys (or mostly everyone) usually starts learning trials on an XC bike with long chainstays and suspension forks... the heavy suspension fork and longish chainstays though makes it harder is very possible.
Heres one of my occasional riding buddy at intramuros trying to backhop on konablack's bike: (crappy SC)
Heres Chris Santos riding a heavier bike:
Notice the difference? Drop the heels, drop the butt, don't be afraid to fall on your back...oh and learn to eject when you fall too far back.
My rule of thumb: if you cant find your balance point yet, its much farther back than you think.
Always remember that you are unique. Just like everybody else.
