most BMX freestylers put " saing " on their rims. this gives extra stoping power (sticky) on the brakes, you can get them at a regular " Palengke " or at Arman's bike shop at North bay, Navotas. it only cost 5 pesos
hehehe. i was going to suggest coke, sarsi, or sprite. old skul style. i'm gonna get my arse kicked soon by a mod.

guys putting lube in your cables are not recommended, i believe your not suppose to do that. Maybe because dust and grime will accumulate and cause the opposite effect. Get a teflon lined cable. i did not know this. i put grease on the cables before puting them on teflon coated hoses. i'll flush 'em with some WD40. err, teflon lined. teflon coated hoses would be deemed useless. dam-n semantics.

theres this new cable system that is really nice for v-brakes. its an aluminum ball and joint spine housing you end up using less cable length because the cables can bend more so there is more power transfered from the levers to the brakes.
it is best partnered for a new kind of v-brake pad. it has interchangeable pads you can easily install the kind of pads needed for the conditions your riding in or you can mix and match. it is compatible for shimano v-brake systems.
im not sure a bout price and brand name check out mountain biking action(may, june,or july) it was featured there it is supposed to be stronger that discs

Yep, I did read that. I actually posted the link above Its kinda around for a while, its the Nokon cable housing cost around Php3T+ for MTB brakes and around Php5T for the derelleurs. I almost got one (will buy abroad, sponsored ;D, but put it on hold, I might get an HS-33, or stick with the coke in the rims <-- the best, because no additional brakepad wear , no special pads etc) Its from germany and its suppose to be good for a lifetime (you can replace the teflon liner). It will work well with a coolstop brake pads. The Nokon cable handles the extra cable flex and the pads for the stopping power. I dont know about this setup for trials though .. I havent read any who recommend this setup (nokon+coolstop+plain rims) over other cables/nokon + Plazmatic CRV's/ SpanishFly with grinded rims. It is recommended for trials use together with the XTR cables and the AVID flak jackets. If I dont get the Maggies (Magura) I will get one of those (Nokon) for the bling hehe. BTW I shifted to rear vees after my perfectly setup fully locking rear diskbrake slipped on a lock and I hit my tail bone on the pavement hehe Anybody want those Nokon, if I push through we can order together to save on shipping.

mahal yung brakepads pang grinded rims hehe , but the price is tempting for the 2007 version only P5500 (one pc only) (evo mounts). Those pads will wear down in a month or so
