from BMX days.....
on my MTB I do a bit of wheelie... double jump.... small bunny hops....
but due to: weight gain, old age, bike setup i can't do: cherry picker 3ft bunny hop and many other more....
kasi wala ng step knot
rotor... in BMX is what they call the parts used and augment on break cables so you can pivot the handle bar without any hassle of twisting cables.... in mtb this is part of the disk brake..... so what does this called in mtb? i do watch some trial mtb's on video and some of them have this on their bike.... i've been looking for this one.... anyone knows where can avail this?

This is a very nice gadget...I'd like one too But I don't think it's needed for Trials...more of a Flatland accessory me thinks ;D But surely those bmx kiddies will be freaked when you do a 360 tailwhip with that on your mtb

;Dno need to use gyros brothers just make butas sa cap ng headlock mo then pass your front brake cable sa cap then palusutin mo sa head tube, I you have extra v brake noodle the better you can use this to guide your brake cable sa cap ng headlock, now you can do x-up habang bunny hop, cool.... k ba?

in those BMX days that's what they do... you drill a hole on your stem to pass the brake cables, but this weakens the stem lock.... that's why they invented the gyros!!!!!!!!
in MTB they just run their brake cables long...... me i have a single speed so no need for shifting cables just brake cables................

Gyros could be nice on an mtb for flatland tricks...but for trials it wouldn't be of much use Anybody here who can do a pedalkick to clear a gap???...tips please

How do you execute a double jump, is this similar to a bunnyhop Kona...i'm not very familiar with the "doublejump" term in street-riding, but back in bmx days this refers to two dirt jumps or humps where you take-off from one mound of dirt and land at the other jump or mound of dirt (receiving jump). In street-riding maybe this is lifting both wheels at the same time to clear a gap This is the old-style bunnyhop, modern style is lifting your front first then finish the jump by un-weighting the rear

I also got sick for 4 straight days and it cost me a lot on my studies because I just took my Finals this morning and I wasn't able to review properly . Anyways, I'm expecting a failed subject now (special thanks to my ILLNESS> ) Back to the topic: So that how its done? I was expecting that its a new move or somethin. By the way, nice Pic jeeves

Jeeves, its the backhops right. A basic move of trials and still haven't practicing this move, but I think I'm fairly good at wheelies now Good for you...now you can start practicing manual I stopped practicing wheelies these past days...was traumatized two weeks ago when my right foot almost dislocated when I have had to "make tukod" with it when I lost the balance during a wheelie practice I'm not so sure if that pic was taken during the backhop or when I was making a rear-wheel pivot after a front pivot...if it's a backhop then I think I'm out of balance...here's the reasons why: 1. handlebar is twisted to the left...this offsets my balance and I will be falling to the left. 2. my butt is not centered on the seat...leaning towards the right...this is bad...it seems I'm trying to compensate not to fall to the left side... 3. ....and I'm not smiling...this is very important...to smile is to keep balanced...a frown is an indication that I'm about to fall down...or was it the heat ;D ...but hey...the pic seems to be pretty good...a little amateurish but what the heck...at least I'm trying...as in "trying hard"...he..he..he.. ;D

You have some good explanations there dude and the last part is the most important thing ;D Kona...it's actually the ankle...and it was not dislocated brad...almost lang...just heard a load crack but I already dislocated both of my ankles in my bmx days 15 years ago so it just got swollen for a day or two...I was running slow at around 5 to 10kph...but I saw this kid biking behind me and I have had to avoid falling on him
