Is a basic move for trials, medyo nakakapag pivot na rin ako ng konti. To do a pivot: 1. I lean my handlebar onto the side where I would want my rear wheel to land. 2. I then lift my rear wheel and place my hips onto the side. All of this is done using both brakes and is easier if you know how to trackstand My question: nakapagpivot ka na ba gamit yung front wheel? Pareho lang ba nung sa rear wheel pivot? Balik uli sa pagpractice

Ang hirap mag-pivot sa rear wheel pre...rear wheel pivot to me is lifting the front wheel and turning on your rear wheel. I can't go more than 90 deg. Mas madali ang front wheel pivot...lifting the rear wheel and turning on your front wheel...the most I can do now is 180 deg. Though sometimes if I do a rear wheel pivot right after a front pivot...medyo nakakakuha ng more than 90 deg because of the momentum

Tips to those who have never really tried tried to do a front wheel pivot but would like to learn The front pivot (this is what I call it, but some refer to it as rear wheel pivot also) is lifting the rear wheel and turning or pivoting on your front wheel to bring the rear wheel either to your left or right in a circular motion. You cannot learn this trick overnight, you have to learn the basics first Front Pivot Basics: 1. Learn to lift the rear wheel...without using the front break. At moderate speed stand on your pedals and position your hips just above the bottom bracket. Within a second do the following: preload your knees by slightly bringing your hips down about and inch or two...then release the preload in a jerking motion...just like you are about to jump but bringing your hips towards the handlebars...push your handlebar a little in a circular motion forward. Don't overdo it or you might end up on a faceplant ;D Let me know if you can lift the rear wheel an inch or two...then I'll post here step #2

Hey guys 'n gals...sorry wasn't able to login for a week...was out of the country kasi Ok, so anybody done with step #1? Here's step #2: a. By now I believe you can fairly lift the rear wheel an inch or two. b. The next step would be learning how to bring the rear wheel to the side. c. As a beginner, your aim is to lift the rear wheel an inch or two and moving it an inch or two either to the left or right, whichever you're comfortable with. d. To lift and move the rear wheel to the right, do these: - follow step #1 with your right foot forward. - in step # 1 you release the preload and move your hips towards the handlebars...while doing this twist your hips counterclockwise. - your knees should be helping the move by twisting along with the hips. e. To move the rear wheel to the left, do the move with the left foot forward and twisting hips and knees in clockwise direction. If any of you visits sta. rosa trails...give me a holler...I can show you the move and then, maybe you may understand better what I'm talking about here Ok...so go out and practice...then return to this thread for step #3 ;D
