Admit it. We are addicts. We are all hopelessly addicted to anything remotely-related to mountain bikes. So, which one (or more) of these items are you guilty of?
1. You name your dog after a popular bicycle company.
2. You sell the car and buy a pickup so you can bring your buddies' bikes to your favorite trail.
3. You become fixated towards certain letter/number combinations.
e.g. XTR, XT, 888, 66, X9, VF, DHX, etc.
4. The word 'suspension' doesn't scare you anymore.
5. There are plenty of allen wrenches and zipties to be found in your house.
6. You get cranky during the rainy season.
7. You can't sleep the night before a major bike-related purchase.
Translation: Kapag Boxxer World Cup ang bibilhin mo kinabukasan, makakatulog ka ba nang maayos?
8. You look like a human chessboard when you take off your clothes.
9. You keep asking your neighbor to hide your bike for you when your spouse is in a testy mood.
10. Your shins are no longer pretty to look at.
There are plenty of other things that I have forgotten. Feel free to add more.

#4 for me
if i may add 11. you always tend to save/hide money from your wife/gf and save it for a new bike parts 12. cant sleep the night before the race or sometimes a ride 13. you always pee before your run14. 14 you check your friends bike if there's a new part/s installed and ask for the old one/s or if you can buy it at a low low low low price (trans-akin nalang)

#6 i tend to disagree...... during the rainy season i just get more excited, anxious as to what the trail can throw at me during rigorous riding conditions......
(the best way to train is during the worst trail conditions, it will teach you what is and what is not the best way it can be taught! hahahahaha!)

16. you put different stickers of bike parts or apparels even if you dont have one of these, example other riders put fox shox stickers on their frames or helmet even though their using DNM shocks, its like putting a visor of TRD to a nissan car ala 'RICE BOYS" in the streets

#16 hahahahahahaha psyblade! ..........
question: is it ok to wear bike brand-name apparel like for example: Azonic (but u hav all da bomb components?!) or Fox racing apparel (but u ride Zokey and 5th element?!)....
but its very true...... it really is like installing Ralliart (mistubishi) body kits on a D-max(isuzu).... or buying a posh 4x4 MEGA-suv and putting 24s (tapos 40series HT)on 'em , now how the fk am i suppose to make that lublob sa putikan at sa bato? hahahahaha.....................

I'm guilty of doing exercises off the bike for when im on the bike
Dunno if that counts? Like when you motion a bunnyhop off the bike.
I don't do an air bunnyhop tho, I now do some explosive squats off the bike and I have modified my sit-ups to include an imaginary bike for that extra explosive feel - helped me improve.

thats normal patrick, relax..... psych training and muscle memory exercises are sometimes the best way of training/preparation for these things...
** ummm i think when your muscles get used to routine motion, it decreases the work load of the brain therefore giving you more RAM for your mind to focus....
like they say "if you practice you will get good at it"...... hehehehe......
but if your talking bunny-hop..... just do1000 basketball jumps with 40 pound ankle weights..... after 2 months you'd prolly lose 30-50 lbs of body weight... and Kick like a horse... then try it your bike.... hehehe...... the pedals will become lighter and since you now weigh like 150lbs... well .... 3 foot bunny hops will become an everyday habit.... hehehe
** oh and upper body work out... this is to ensure that everytime you pull up on the bars its gonna be like a feather...... just do a lot of push ups ok na yan! heheheh

guilty in almost all of the above... nyahahahahahaha!!
19. Go into a state of euphoria in anytime as i imagine all things i have done in the trails.... Bigla na lang natutulala!
i still have nightmares and hyper-tension from the Laoag BIG TIME Drop i've done in 2004 and got injured there... i still can't imagine what really happened to me after dropping clear...
now, i got this bad habit of tira everything biggie in dh events/courses for me to counquer but having NOT to make BAWI in that drop leaves me drooling like asong ulol, (they decided to change the path of the course last pamulinawen festival in 2006....)... aw! aw! grrrrrrr! ngiyaw!

Definitely counts. You are training your muscles for a particular movement to increase its efficiency for the actual technique. The stronger those muscles are, the better the movement will be.
