uu nga pala sowee glock hehehehe..... didnt get the first podt.. mis-interpreted
and yes they do grow those things..... they eat pita bread, jalapenos and drink ots of 40oz... heheheeheh......... thats why i moved here in the RP... (baka madamay pa ako at masira uniporme ko... maputol pa pension ko!) lol..
......... its all good brad....
But still we shall await the " SINGOL PIPOT vs MULTI-NATIONAL LINK" test...
** i remember the super V quite well... in 97 i borrowed 1 for the DH comp in bacolod... lol it wasnt that good.... the Taiwan made FASTRAX F-2 DH had more travel and stability... thats why in 98' i got an F-3... and turned semi-pro... then rode pro in a trixxter....... hehehe

REDNEBpapa, i've been examining my frame this morning and found out that my single pivot doesnt need a brake therapy, y? 1. i found out that the additional linkage i put serves as a brake therapy, my rear shocks still works even when i lock my rear breaks 2. using hydrolic disc brakes also lessens the brake jack, unlike the mechanical disc brakes there are no cables that adds up jack to the performance of your rear shocks. i just dont know the case using 4-bar linkage

the brake jack is every where... observe this...
at a rest position... yank your bike and observe the caliper.... as you compress the bike the caliper moves around the rotor.. this is because of the pivot point in the axle...
now try to press the levers and compress again the bike.. you will notice that the caliper is not moving ( syempre na preno ehh) now this i ask you... where did those little forces go?
simple.. to the next linkage or pivot points.. until it reaches the rear shocks.. you wont notice the slight difference in the compression..BUT a mathematical equation can tell you otherwise.
now that is brake jacking.. the sudden unwanted harshness..
the frame i saw that does not have this is the yeti lawill design.. or the schwinn straight 8, because the axle point and the caliper mount is on a parallel linkage design (not sure if that is the right mechanical term.. but its the same mechanism of a drafting machine..)
then why today this is not a big issue on top riders?? like steve peat on orange?? he did not use one..
kasi the effect is almost invincible.. as for me as i experienced it... i think more on how i will less use the brakes and make use of the momentum and the sprint..
if not convince... try to enroll at a "strength of material subject" in architecture and engineering.. there you will encounter the forces known as "moment" and "equilibrium"
if not convince more.. lets just get a san mig light and change the topic.. hehehehe...

REDNEB- no need for me to enroll on that subject papa, have you forgotten i'm a retired architect, hehehe....dont wanna be a retard on drafting machine...i rather ride and enjoy my time with my bros

@ redneb- so therefore i conclude that those extra forces were transfered on the additional linkage that i put....that d@mn small thing really work then,,,hehe

hehehe.... if sabaw ang pag uusapan.... hmmm me to prolly, i like mine with plenty of soup even if its maasim... its still sabaw! and i like'em trained and experienced... it beats teaching them and trying to gag them everytime they scream as you rip apart their flesh! hahahah....

@psyblade hehehe.... all the flex and tension produced by the rear end is compensated and absorbed by the hybrid link..... heheh.... lets try T6 + magnesium.. heheheh

hehhehe just a little trivia, mert lawill the designer of the lawill suspension is a multi titled American Motorcycle Association champion (dirt track, road race, etcc) way back in the 60's he was known for tech knowledge in bikes and he applied them after retiring from racing. aside from the mtb suspension that he designed, he also designed prosthesis for amputees for motorbike aficionados you can watch the film where he was featured, titled "on any sunday" by bruce brown

wow...
now why would they include such a statement?
----------->The article remains a fair approximation of the basics of BISI, but if you wish to calculate the precise reaction to braking that your bicycle has then you must be aware of the other factors, and know how to incorporate them. Keep in mind too, that motion characteristic generation (ie designing for a characteristic) is much more difficult than simply analysing an existing system.
it kinda explains everything... but the brake jack question is... what certain speed or condition/factors do i require to actually experience this? cuz i doubt if you ride at 40kph max while screaming one would experience it.......
cuz at 60kph i still aint getting jack on a mono..... like extendead said: dont want jack? use less brake!...... lol

@ redneb- yeah, kinda blast to my past, college days when you have to analyze a d@mn problem just to get a long answer starting from simple reaction, moment of inertia, tension and compression....etc. luckily i passed that stage allready
