question.....joey will be going alone? No support crew? :-[quisseldaddy quissellady quisseldaly whatever........wanna go? gimme a call at 09167487076. let's plan this so we can send him to china. I just need to know details such as location, time of race, how far is race site from nearest (and clean) hotel so that we can properly plan this......useless to send him to china if he won't be able to eat and rest properly. Sending him is easy but taking care of his safety and health while he's there is another thing.

joey will not be alone, The philippine mtbike team will be there,
Will ask coach Eboy Farr (neighbor), should guard joey's time, qualifying and final race run you know,
Remember that race in malaysia, where everyone thaught joey won/or in podium until they showed the result.
Clock's don't lie/cheat, unless they manipulate it.
go for gold!

sad to say na not all bikeshops support the sport, to make it worse, downhill pa. i would prefer riders to help fellow riders. pag bikeshop, there's always something.

Japan takes last two golds in Asian MTB Championships www.chinaview.cn 2007-08-05 19:29:38 Print SUZHOU, China, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- The 13th Asian Mountain Bike Championships lowered its curtain here on Sunday with Japanese taking the last two gold medals. Mio Suemasa proved herself as the best sprinter of Asian MTB after taking the women's elite downhill in two minutes and 11.439 in the scorching sun. "The weather is really hot. I started a little bit slowly today, but I maintained my speed during the last 200 meters," said the Asian champion. The hot and humid weather became the biggest challenge for all cyclists. In the first day of the event, five women cyclists quit the women's elite cross-country, and Malaysian cyclist Juss Junaidan was sent to hospital. Sattayanun Abdulkaree of Thailand won the silver in 2:12.761, beating her teammate Ausanee Pradupyard to the third place in 2:16.146. Naoki Idegawa added a second gold to Japan, winning the men's elite downhill in 1:53.034. Popo Ariyo Sejati of Indonesia took the silver in 1:53.382, while the bronze medal went to Hong Kong rider Tsui King Man who timed 1:54.361. The Chinese national team topped the medal table with four golds, three silvers and one bronze, followed by the Japanese team with two golds. Thailand and Indonesia finished joint third with one silver and one bronze. More than 200 cyclists from 13 teams competed in the 13th Asian MTB Championships. ================ news.xinhuanet.com/english/2007-08/05/content_6477883.htm

AND? c'mon evryone.... we gave it a shot why not give a little more? ..... the other national teams were there practicing like 2 weeks - 3 weeks before! the rp got there friday and ..... ?
we cant play blind...... the state of neglect of support and priority to our national athletes isnt new? and about the octanes? hehehehe....... so who in the right mind would put octanes against sundays, XRs and other grade A world cup bikes? .....lol......
the past asian dh cups here in the rp were very successful because of the support and exposure provided by the private sector..... eh why send a skeleton crew to china eh major cycling event yun?
i hav my answers.... but i just want evry1 to be aware.......
its only 2007 now...... maybe next year it'll be different there will be changes hehehe....
and 10 yrs from now i'd still be riding and watching ..... till the day our national cyclists are given the priority n importance they deserve ...maybe then ill shut my yap and roll over and die....

Barok texted me around 6 p.m. upon arrival, Sad to say but he experienced mechanical problems as one of his pedals dismounted or something, he tried to pedal it out but a flat tire ended the action... poor guy... but maybe next time he'll be on top again.
maybe a tubeless system will be the next target for his bike, we'll still have to talk these coming days to verify all information as to what happened and the chances of getting a shot in the sea games in thailand... early planning!
hopefully PSC and the government would wake up one day from nightmares!
@coach eboy, sana more support for our DH rider, just like the coach/trainor/handler of niño surban did. We love you! ride tayo antipolo again!! i miss it na!
