@ lloyd, dont worry my reign-drops. hehehe used it for dh racing. what more if its a reign x it climbs timberland wall and descends patiis trail. ;D I agree, I use my Reign X in diablo freeride park and cunningham park (which is a trail-ish XC-ish kind of a trail) and some guys actually set up their reign x as their slopestyle bike, they just get a size smaller. the trend here is if you are not going to race most of the time and you want to just bomb down they tend to set up a single crown slopestyle-ish type bike.

I'm happy with my reign 1. I've owned so many expensive bikes but fell in love with the maestro. 6" travel is enough here in the phil. I don't see many trails here that shout for 8" travel. ( except if you are hitting a gap of 15 ft or hucking same ) If you tune the sus pensions right and balance it to your specs....it's bottomless!

Ei Fafa Glo, I'm leaving on Sunday morning, sayang nga can't join the 43 Bros. in TLBF. My Reign will definitely lose some weight when I get back. Ride tayo sa Subic pagbalik ko ha, Gogs & the gang already planned it, you can be the trail master. He, he. BTW, I saw an ad in MTBR, a brand new small '06 Reign frame with Fox RP3 for only $600. Hayyy, if only i have the money, it will definitely sell like a hotcake here. yetiman, very well said brad, especially to somebody like me who just hit the big 4 0.

the DH feel of a bike is not from the parts you select or travel the frame has but from the geometry of the frame. the longer wheelbase and the headtube's angle is your 2 most impt factor. personally i don't believe in using a XC-ish bike for DH purpose, however that doesn't mean a good rider can't ride it down a DH trail. with the right geometry, that same rider will ride even better.
