cool stuff peachy. if only I could ride like that. I'd like to experience big drops and super technical descents... I just don't have the skills and too much fear to experience the DH rush. I'll have to live vicariously through others.

no problem. happy to share the things that make me happy. i was feeling kinda dizzy the past few days... probably from smacking my head a few times on the snow trying to snowboard... or ear infection so i thought i won't ride today on our regular 8AM shuttle rides. But when i woke up this morning it was sunny and since it's been raining a lot these these i went out and rode still. i didn't regret it. ;D
If u love riding aggressively or u just wanna ride (or walk) the trails u just see on videos... come to vancouver. there's not a lot of place on this planet where u will find a large concentration of DH bikes. Vancouver is one. U won't regret it.

Hey peachy one of these days we'll have to ride together... either the bike or snowboard. i hear you have great powder in BC. does it compare to the Utah snow I've gotten used to? if your ever find yourself in soCal you should lookup myself or the other PMTBR members here. our trails are not nearly as technical as Vancouver's, but we'll find something for you to have fun on. I remember my head smacking days when I was learning to snowboard, careful with those head injuries. you're not having fun until you break a rib

Vegas/Bootleg Canyon has it all! DH, FR and heavy duty XC trails. I was there in Oct. Let me know if you're planning a trip there and I'll meet you. Gooseberry Mesa is only a 3 hour drive from Vegas.

that's a long drive brad! my riding buddies have talked about doing a trip to Bootleg and Gooseberry. if it ever happens you can fly to Vegas and we'll pick you up. some of the DH sections are too scary for me, but you'll like them. possibly in the spring... around April. I'll let you know.

last pic is not whistler... W is close right now for winter sports (who needs that eh?) so riding the local mtns which are all pretty technical single tracks through the forest. roots, rock, rocks faces, ladders, chutes, bridges... typical vancouver riding.
i'm still getting use to the WC. my Breakout+ was super plush so tough competition.
airfare i hear is pretty low these days.

Poseur you ought to be in jail man... those pic you just posted freaks out my blue-blooded XC soul out of its wits. Good thing I got hold unto it or some sinister-looking DH spirit took ever. We should impose some rules on pictures like this which shows blatant disregards to the riders dear life. reminds me of those kamikaze pilot...banzai! Oh btw, I watched the wmv file posted.... felt like circus!

Oh trust me... i dnt have a "blatant disregard" to my life. I'm pretty chicken. Some of the guys I ride with are very good. Riding steep steep steep very very (yes very) technical terrains w/ a heckler and a pike up front. just awesome.
Just to be clear here. I posted only one riding image that is NOT me. I wrote that then but I just wanna be sure that not a single soul is thinking I am that guy riding down "shale master of death"... like i said i'm too chicken and scared of heights too. it is NOT me. it's the guy getting his leg bandaged. the guy doing the repair work (kneeling down) and the chocolate guy looking on the side... awesome riders.
