How true? that dh frame should be undersized for more control, groin clearance and weight savings.
Notice in the pics in mag this 6 foot plus pro riders have small dh bikes that look like a full suspension bmx hehehehe most of them are former bmx racers anyway.
how long is your wheelbase? the longer the wheel base the harder it will turn on tight corners and hairpins. but it will be stable on straights.
how high is your bottom bracket from the ground? the lower bb height the faster it will rail the berms but it may not clear the roots and rocks.
head angle? slack or steep?
and how much sag in your shock and how do you set up your shock?

i think 1 size smaller is a good option, remember DH runs last only a couple of minutes, soi its best to have all the control u need

;D fro,
I recently purchased the last recoil extension frame sa cartimar for only 30 k (sale before it was 45k) including the 12 mm thru ax hub, this will be my project dh race bike, this summer. My first thru ax rear frame.
just like yours papa.....small, size 16" as per their website the difference between the small and medium (size 18") is only 30mm, Im" 5' 11" will compensate using a 50 mm stem and adjust the seat fore and aft, it may look like a bmx to me hahahaha
what your set up? bb bracket ht? wheelbase head angle? ano review nya?
;Dplanning to use light componenets avaialble, boxxers, mavics, truvativ hozfellers, answer protapers, eastons,xt hydros....
