arnel, lets leave the kwento to jon...he is the better writer ...from the PinoyMTBiker there were only 5 of us...jon, arman, paul, whreachelle and me... paul and jon entered in the pro category..jon managed to placed 10th...PRO na si jon! paul unfortnately suffered mech problems....since there was no category specific for women, wheachelle was registered in 36 and above categ with me...arman in 35 and below...wheachelle received a special award from the good mayor of taysan and the organizers for being the only woman to participate in the event..wow! kumikita sa karera ang lola! jovan, i believe taysan has more dirtroad than EBD..that's my perception...it has lesser climbs though but not without steep ones...i recalled around a couple...it would have been a bit easier than EBD but the weather made the race a little hard...mud all over the bikes and riders...i suffered a crash early on..and so a lot of other riders..the longest road body surfing i ever did in my entire life hehehe! arman almost taccoed his rear wheel. in the end we managed to do an incredible thing...thats to pack 5 bikes at the back of my isuzu XUV on our way home. ;D

Yo! How was is compared to EBD? Is it the same distance as they said? Lots of climbs? Are there more offroad sections? In my cyclo it was 60-61km, lots of slippery and muddy climbs (iwalked ;D) but not as steep as EBD. but there is a portion which i think they call it "sungay". A test of riders handling and braking skills. Lots of casualties like Valdes father and son(Placido and Gerald) Gerald decided to take the umbulance but Placido is more deteremined to win the race I think he take 2nd spot. Tolits, hope you recovered soon, pahinga muna. As what you said "bka susunod ulo na". May i ask..so how did you present your white cycling shorts to your wife? ;D Would like to thank Tolits, Tatay(tolits father) W, Paul and Jon.

;D ...ok, just for your enjoyment arnel n pete...there's a narrow concrete road portion with sudden steep descent and ascent (1st of several) with water from a creek overflowing over the road at the bottom (it rained)...i believe not a lot of vehicles use it for there's a lot of fallen leaves and its mossy...few yards before i hit the water it occured to me that maybe i made a wrong turn for i didn't notice tire marks from riders ahead..must have hit the brakes a little too much..i fell on my left side, slid on the pavement towards the water and ended up on the other side of the overflow ten yards siguro rin yun... got bruises on my left elbow, knee, shoulder and thigh..now there's a hole on my PinoyMTBiker jersey. worse, it turned out that the water was dirty...i stunk of pig shite all the way to the finish line. ;D a week before the race me and asakapa trained at licao-veterans-helipad...the portion from the gate up was with ruts...on our way down, i took a spill...a piece of stone cut deep on my right knee and my right shoulder took a real good beating..kumpleto na...so next time, like arman said maybe i'll get it on the forehead... just a note: i noticed that it was not as well attended as the EBD...i wonder why..but i dont believe its lesser in any way...challenging course...medical staff were at certain designated points..well organized..people were friendly, offering plastic bags of cold water...the town mayor prepared an after race delicious eat all you can in the grounds of his house..dami kong nakain...we clean ourselves and bikes there too...maraming salamat.
