5 days to race day!!! King/Rey The sandy portion is really candidate for spills especially on those bends...what tires should they be bringing? Is the jungle portion muddy at all...am keeping an eye on your weather for this week. Go P M T B Go PadyakPinoySg Sunday forecast A few thunderstorms possible. yukon, there are still some muddy sections but they've been putting gravel on some of them. i didnt bring any other tires so i'm making do with my karmas. they're pretty good all around tires although i couldve used something with a little more knobs on the sides for more traction on those corners. my tires were pretty hard though, because ching & i biked over 20km to tampines. i forgot to deflate them a little for more traction.

just an update: registered dan for the men's open race today. yukon, are you here in sing? it rained today king change of plans...have to stay here due to health problems. Dandan is coming over with Lloyd, Wowee and Edzell (of John Wilkie ...they placed 1st in the Mixed Cat of the recently concluded 24 HR Race). My dilemma now is Edzell was so wasted last Sunday and I asked him to defer bike practices till Saturday. Too bad Olive cant join this event...so no gals from RP at the moment This is all...we'll be sending em off this Friday at Megamall for their flight bound for Singapore. Its raining here too...I hope weather cooperates over the weekend. Mabuhay P M T B Mabuhay Padyak Pinoy!!!!

Latest news from DirTraction
Top Regional Riders to Take On Local Talent FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Top Regional Riders to Take On Local Talent at Phat Tyre Sunday
Singapore, 14 August 2007 - Mountain bike racing returns to Singapore's Tampines trail on 19 August 2007, with a promise of a bigger and better mud-free race this year for both riders and supporters. The race will see participation from a host of accomplished elite riders from the region, who have committed to flying in especially to take on local elite riders in a head-to-head offroad Clash of the Titans.
Star riders who have confirmed attendance include South East Asian (SEA) Games gold medalists: male XC-Elite riders Dadi Nurcahyadi (Indonesia) and Eusebio Quinones and Surban Q Nino (Philippines); as well as female XC-Elite rider Baby Marties Bitbit. KL International Mountain Bike Carnival gold medalist Bandi Sugito (Indonesia) will also join the fight at the knoll.
The race is DirTraction's 3rd offroad, cross-country race offering for all mountain bike enthusiasts in Singapore. Race participants will get to ride on an extended jungle track and have a roll over the Tampines mountain bike trail, which was built just last year. The extended cross-country trail is approximately 7km and includes more jungle sections, single track and hill climbs. This race will also feature a singlespeed-cyclo cross category, for the very first time ever.
"The mountain bike scene has really blossomed here in Singapore and it is going to be exciting to see our local boys battle it out with elite riders from our neighbouring countries. There is no doubt they will put up a good fight," said Max Mager, Race Director, DirTraction. "The talent that is set to hit the trail this weekend is fierce and this will be an exciting race for spectators to watch as this particular race route is one of the most accessible ones in Singapore and they will have a great view of the action."
To make the race a more enjoyable one, organizers have also arranged for bazaar booths to create a festival vibe. The Phat Tyre Pasar Malam will include apparel and bike gear booths, as well as food and drink stations.

guys watch out for Bandi Sugito. Checked the KL race...look at his time. Uber halimaw Indonesian...I say we place him beside Angela Grey before the start of the race. He might lose some energy looking at her. ;D
Guys pls support our non-Olympians (from here) din sa respective Cat nila
1. Wowee Segismundo (40+) 2. Lloyd Santos (30 -35) 3. Edzell Guevarra (30-35) 4. Dandan (from what I read is in the Open Cat)
This Boy Quinones guy...I have seen him smoke me 6 times up AFP during practice ( I go up kasi 5kph that stretch). Bibit is promising as well, they are SEA Games medalist.
Rey/Joe/badbrun
I know more than 15 are joining from PP Sg...lets pray that Philippines would shine at this race.
