hahaha... Yup, ricky and john did very well to finish 2nd & 4th in their class. All terra did well too! Dandan is still the King of Maarat! and Jm, fantastic 2nd place in his class doing this in a single speed! I was telling him before the race "st&*%$d" why are you racing w/ a single speed! but he proved me the "st&*%$d" one by winning second place. But i also mentioned to him that had he raced w/ a double chain ring he would have gotten 1st.! hehehe...
Yeah, jingo beat me too! on the last lap i overshot one sweeping bend and endo-ed over the bunthings. I honestly thought there was going to be another lap but it was the last na pala. Felt like 4 laps only in my mind.
King, next time...

Ah okay, Ramon :-) Now at least I know your name. BTW, the bandage was for the splint they put on my wrist to immobilize it. I sprained my wrist when I went down hard at the Maarat Wall last Friday while training. They said I was going down too fast. I beg to disagree. I really hate those Kenda Karma tires, they always lose traction when wet. Tocino butt and shoulders, flesh wounds, sprained wrist, the usual results of a bad fall. Good thing I didn't suffer a concussion. Anyways, you guys had noooo idea how much pain I was in yesterday ;D In fact my whole body feels painful till this very moment, hahaha! And from the amount of anti inflammatory ointment they put on my wrist before wrapping it with bandage, my skin has burn marks now! LOL! I also knew that if my water bottle and cages remain in place, unlike in Lipa, I could go faster ;D But the d@mn pain kept me in check the whole race, as I couldn't go all out even though I wanted to. Almost endoed twice as I couldn't hold onto the bar anymore because of the pain in my wrist. The spirit was willing but the flesh was weak I wonder how I'd have fared against John and Ricky if I were in better shape. They just had Jimmy on the downhills, that's why they ended up higher than Jimmy. Hmmm, I wonder. Till next race! atty. mike yngson

Hello PMTBikers! This is Bong Napiza from Lipa City. I would like to thank Vince and company from Mens' Health Al Terra Team for helping me fix and remove the straw strands from my sprocket before the fun race. My gratitude also to the Collantes' couple of Cycling Zone Team for "catching" my stuff. This is my 2nd race(the first time was in Taysan,Batangas) and an experience nobody could ever take away from me. I was enjoying the the 1st lap when the upper third of my seatpost gave way. I thought I wouldn't make it to the finish coz leg cramps started to set in during the last lap. I was d last among the 21 fun riders and d only one who was not awarded a medal ,but... I went home with d GRAND PRICE. God Bless!!! Bong Napiza
