sirs and sis,
totoo ba? .... the dh course is more of a dual slalom course with jumps....not suitable for heavy DH rigs?
that is sad!
Better pa yung FdKami race...I heard that this course is on the other side of Divine Mercy
Im a fun DH rider and there s no fun in an uphill slope on my 36 lb.++ beast with its head angle
I want to go there this sunday to checkout the course...anyone from PinoyMTBiker going?
But this is a sad turn of events together with the hefty entrance fees as highlighted by feline rissa

yes, it's not a full dh course but a hell of a race track. looks easy, but really tough. it's more like a mini slopestyle type of track, infested with jumps and turns. a spectator friendly course, so to the flashy rider out there. here's your chance to shoow off your sh!t. hehehe. i suggest that you set-up your bike right for this event. a single crown, wold be better.
actually there have been dh races held here in the past. the main highlight of the course was the gap jump, and the moto like table top for the pros. the two paolo's of team censored manage to clear that gap, imagine what would it be like, when Coach Eboy "Mulawin" Farr, Bans " go bans "Mendoza, Joey " numer 1 number 1 number 1" Barba, Ely " Bulate "Zapanta, and other pros would do. it's gonna be a hell of a show.

Me too looking forward to the booze. hehe Actually the track is still incomplete, according to boyet. It is supposed to start from the other hill accross the road. right now the completed section starts on a fire road, with lots of loose rocks (kinda trippy to pedal on). then there's this short elevated single track section you have to ride on, with a 30 ft. cliff on the right side (carefull guys and galls), a drop on the end of the ramp, that leads to a flat turn. when you exit the turn you will be greeted with a low ramp (6") that is received by a 6' drop, that you can roll. Right after the landing there is this ramp with a 5' gap, then another ramp that leads to anopther "rollable" drop (this section is tricky but fun), which leads to a doubles ramp (the pros route forks out that lead to the table top). This leads to another flat out surface for pedalling. from the table top, the pros use the right side of the trail to lead to the "GAP" - major air!, begginers and novice rider have a step-up ramp. both ramps lead to a verm, then two ramps for styling before ending the run! More like a 4x run (with a little less ramps) than a DH course. Enjoy pips!

very vividly described rob!!!! *claps*
~~~
yeah yeah.. the ramp with a 30 ft. cliff on the right side, a 75-80deg angled drop on the end of the ramp.. tricky and mental.
[glow=yellow,2,300]Careful with the tabletop section! You have to align your bike to the reciever coz' once your at the foot of the ramp, you can't see the landing area.... not until you're landing.
I landed on the wrong side. Survived unbruised... But not a pleasant experience! ;D[/glow]
paolo CDLang, thanks brad Pass muna ako this weekend. I dont think my FR/DH bike setup is right for this. I can imagine the switchbacks and technical sections that wont suit a 2C3C fork DH setup Might change the tires of my Enduro and still give the race a shot...fun rider naman forever Ride on !
Wicked starting on top of a "micro-hill", after a pedal or two. you drop on a humuongus two-step stairs, on to the flat track, a single pasage incline/ Jump if you can, then in to a drop-ramp-verm-drop and ramp before exiting to hit the previously mentioned course. Lots of spills and crashes yesterday. It was a blast! Good thing i wasn't the one doing the spilling and crashing. Hope it's nothing serious brad raven!
di a quick look of the track yesterday after a short trail ride...lots of PinoyMTBiker people...those who have lighter bikes and can pedal hard i believe have the advantage...palagay ko lang...parang pang 4x...saw this particular kid on a hardtail ang tulin.
Tolits, I agree hardtails are definitely an advantage on tracks with fast turns and speed jumps/ gaps trail like this one.
