Just from memory, pretty sure Joey Barba took first, despite a crash on his second run. Aky was 2nd. Don't recall the novice results.
My son took 3rd in beginner, so he's pretty stoked. 14th of 50+ in an open-age beginner category in XC as well. Looking for more races...
What I wonder is how they will sort out qualifying issues in XC, since the age categories in the Baguio race were completely different from those in the other races!
Nice XC course, though, some singletrack and some juicy technical bits. Nice to see an XC course that looks like mountain biking!

NOVICE category 1st is nelson millare 2nd is kuya art (not sure... the hardtail rider) 3rd cant remember have taken some videos and some action pics will post soon... but the videos i dont know how to share it with you guys...

hands off to boyet c. for a job well done in making the Dh cors north shore type.....fast pace but tricky turns......drop not too big......gap not too long......ang saya ng trak!.....bad for me coz i dont race (non-barring n kc)......boyet "the dh director'......GALING mo talaga fafa!
sad to say the organizers of the race still NO GOOD!

Feliciano tops cross country

LUCENA City’s Eric Feliciano won the cross country title of the Philippine Mountainbike Championship Pro Tour yesterday at the Velasquez trails in Barangay Busay, Cebu City.
Feliciano outran Cebu's Niño Surban by almost three minutes in the 15-km trail en route to the title. It was Feliciano's third title after winning the first two legs in San Mateo, Rizal and Baguio City, respectively.
With the win, Feliciano took home the top purse of P8,000 while the Cebuano got P4,000.
Jojo Cortez placed third for P2,000 while March Aleonar and Joseph Diez occupied fourth and fifth, respectively.
In the Youth division, Cebu City’s Eusebio Ravanes Jr. bested the 33 bikers to win the title.
Loren Codera, on the other hand, seized the Junior class plum over 17 other contenders while Noel Famor won the seniors class.
Den Pabroa seized the masters title.
The top five of each category will advance to the championship round in Manila next month whiule those who made it to the Top 20 in each division are also eligible to compete in the nationals finals.
Those in the Top 20 will also get discounted fares from Sulpicio Lines and discounts in hotel fees.
