not really.
my father's doc told us that all males should have physical checkups as soon as they hit 40 so as to avoid the big C.

As you hit 40, Get a [[prostate]] checkup, [[barium_enema]], [[colonoscopy]]. Some health card covers these procedures. Get a doctor to approve these procedures by stating that you're getting blood in your stools or something. Some links I found: www.webmd.com/prostate-cancer/news/20050509/exercise-may-fight-prostate-cancerwww.prostatitis.org/bikeprostate.htmlLike most unexplainable instances in health, some people get cancer for no reason at all, health buffs even. It biking CAUSES cancer I'm sure we'll hear about it real quick. If it's injury or pain that accompanies riding but not necessarily caused by biking, then it's a different story.

Just wanna share some thoughts.
I didn't study medicine (officially), and therefore could not be more specific so please bear with me. I'll just use the word "it" to represent the stomach or intestines (or whatever part is concerned).
When we starve or overeat, we injure it. When we imbibe hard drinks, we injure it. When we stay up late (puyat) and don't get enough rest, we injure it. When we eat CHILI, spicy, sour, acidic food, we injure it.
Now, don't start evading Chilis like it's poison or something because in spite of the fact that it gets injured, it heals by itself in healthy bodies.
The catch is, if you have a condition that requires taking aspirins or anti-stroke drugs like PLAVIX, your blood is made thinner (malamnaw), and therefore the risk of bleeding is increased because of the inhibited platelet function (coagulation/clotting).
So avoiding starving, overeating, and eating hot and sour foods in that case.
Just my 2cents.
