Eeewwww!!!! I'd rather stick to diet, exercise, a lot of cardio and riding the extra miles. Even if your colon is cleansed, that doesn't change anything much if the lifestyle remains the same.

You can try eating kamote (or raisins, or yam, or whatever fiber rich veggies/food you can lay your hands on) everyday. There are 2 ways to do this. 1. Microwave kamote and eat it as is (I used to do it in my bodybuilding days, I competed at 125 lbs, believe it or not... ). 2. Make kamote lugao. Eat it in place of rice. I do this everyday for the past 3 weeks because of my tonsilitis. Porridge/congee/lugao is easier on the throat. The effect of fiber is that your stool will become long and full. The result is a continuous piece of bowel that floats on water. That is the goal we are going for. Small pieces of bowels that sink indicates lack of fiber in the diet. Fasting is good for the simple reason that it gives your digestive system and excretory system a break. I recommend barium enema and colonoscopy to all the guys who are over 30 years old. Ask your doctor why. I have a DVD copy of my colon video. It's a collector's piece. At the onset of 30, I had results of my xrays, blood tests and whatever test i can do filed in a folder. The purpose of this is that someday when you don't feel fine, there's always a record (point of reference), a basis of comparison for looking for something wierd. Without a reference, the doctors will simply give their best guess, after all, it's your body. You should be responsible for it! Gadgets reporting! A walking laboratory project in progress.

sir gadgets!!!! is it true that kamotes will make you fart more often? ? no jokng sir because i think this is the easiest way and budget friendly too That might be true, if you had too much. There are some ingredients in many fiber rich food that causes flatulence. Another cause of gas is too short a time between meals. I used to eat less than 3 hours between meals. The effect? Prrrrrfffft!!!!! maybe 10 times, once per minute. Not very sexy indeed! When I give 4 hours rest between meals, the gas did not occur again. So, give more time for the food to digest properly!

I think that is what the doctors made me drink the day before the colonoscopy. It's purpose is to facilitate the excretion of whatever is in your stomach/intestines. I was told not to eat veggies (high fiber food) 2 days before the procedure. But habits being formative, I forgot and halfway down the plate of my favorite kangkong I realized: "Oh my goodness! the veggies will stay long enough to be on video!" (Smile! you're on candid camera!) Fiber rich food, you see, stay in the stomach a long time. They will stick around and make you feel full longer, and maybe clean your digestive tract along the way. True enough, during the colonoscopy (where they insert a video tube up your arse), we, my friend doctor (a guy) and several cute nurses, had a curious time looking at the monitor. Intestines full of veggies! But the linings! In perfect health! Wow! They were not able to put me to sleep inspite of the sedative. I was too excited with the nurses around! Mukang it really works!! Just looking at the d@mn pics made me lose my appetite Really works eh? Feels good too if you tried the cleansing thing every so often. Don't go nuts taking those fiber supplements to shed weight. It's not the number of grams of fibers in the tablets. It's the number of grams of fibers absorbed in the body! but still, going back to the main topic & subject matter....... i want someone to sponsor me with this....... hehehe i want to clean my colon..... @ gadgets, nice info. i wanna make that diet too but im just lazy in preparing those food...... You can afford to be lazy. You have inborn sexy genes! The rest of us, we have to work that body hard! Pays to be sexy! and light! ;D

Nature is your best friend. Get your fiber in your food, not in supplements. Supplementing is like eating banana chips instead of bananas in their natural fruit form.
I don't see bikers eating banana chips before the rides, so...
Edited due to double post. Darn dial-up connection. Grr....

I'm going to agree with gadgets on this one. BTW I like the supplements analogy and bananas. I read that some of these colon cleanser remedies have you ingesting some type of clay. If some funky stuff goes in your system, then funky stuff is sure to come out.
It's better and less expensive to eat healthy and exercise to lose weight.
I'm very skeptical about the claims that these "colonist" make about the products they sell.

A diet regiment Try the diamond dieteat less at breakfast eat as much as u can lunch ( todo mo na, taya mo na pati pamato) eat less on dinner the western world taught us the triangle dieteat more on breakfast eat less lunch eat the least on dinner such diet i guess is not that effective for filipinos coz we are afternoon people. we work best on the afternoon until the evening. calorie build up in the morning is not that nessesary for us. not like the americans, they perform better in the morning work hard in the morning and slowdown subsequently in the afternoon. this is my own opinion and my own diet regiment. but it really worked.. im formerly a 200 pounder now im down to 155 lbs. ;D ;D ;D im not saying it would work for you but it worth the try

Effective way to shed pounds? Here's some additional information. Did you know that when you eat canned goods (too often), you get metal poisoning? When you eat plastic wrapped goods (or bottled drinks) too often, you get plastic poisoning? I know I've always preached about nature's best. But convenience and laziness usually takes precedence. In my instance, I am guilty of eating canned pineapples (in the middle of the night) instead of the real fruit. Fruit coctails is also a fave, because it reminds me of the good old days. Sentimental reasons. I grab a can of fruit coctail too often. So there. Shouldn't the knowledge effectively make you lose whatever appetite you have for canned goods or drinks contained in plastic? At least be armed with that knowledge, and go easy. Advice? Ako ang iyong konsyensya (Gadgets is a nagger, I know). Use glass containers instead of plastic when bringing water. Avoid reusing bottled plastics. And eat pandesal wrapped in the old-fashioned way, the brown paperbag! Peanut butter is good and healthy! (until you overdose). Review questions: 1. When buying drinks in your favorite convenience store, which do you choose: the plastic bottled drink or the glass bottled drink? 2. What do you use to wrap your sandwich: Plastic or paper? 3. And kids! Always brush your teeth at least 2 times a year! Right or wrong? ;D
