Hello, everyone... Isn't the biceps the agonist muscle & the triceps the antagonist muscle? Moreover, your quadriceps would also be the agonist & hams, the antagonist... - skipping beer sessions seems antagonistic to me. ;D - seriously, i've recently met a really dedicated athlete of sorts. i admire her discipline and commitment towards achieving her physical health and wellbeing goals. i guess if any changes are to be made, and i really want to, a life style change is in order. - as for letting go of the sweet oh so sweet beer. NOT YET! - mura na lang ata liposuck e. preshong zoki fork na lang ata. Ah... "her". She's fit. But she's not that dedicated to fitness. I think it's more of genetics that she's slim. Pero ganda no Joes? ;D I like to see a female with ripped abdominals and a hint of muscular physique as oppose to someone who seemed to came out the door of Vicky Velo. Reason? The former shows discipline. But physical obsession is bad to - healthy people are supposed to be happy.

haha! just drink san mig light. and by all means, if you're going to drink, mas okay na beer kesa hard drinks. it contains less calories or less something else, basta less of the bad stuff, so beer is the lesser evil. A 12 oz light beer contains 99 to 125 calories while a jigger (1.5 oz) of hard liquor contains about 65 to 75 calories. So basically, you pack in more calories if you drink beer. Say for example, if you go out on a drinking session, you may have to drink at least 5 bottles of beer ( and more for the seasoned drinkers) before you get drunk.. so 99 x 5 = 495 calories whereas if you take 3-4 jiggers of hard liquor (whisky, tequila, vodka, gin...) then you'll only consume 195 to 260 calories. A hard drink or liquor has a higher proof, so you take less and yet you get drunk faster. Beer contains more carbohydrates than distilled liquor.... more carbohydrates = more calories. Have you ever wondered why its called "beer belly"? The key word is moderation. Moderation means two drinks a day for a man and one drink a day for a woman. These drinks cannot be "saved" over time and then drunk in one day. ;D A drink can be a 12 oz bottle or can of regular beer, a five-ounce glass of dinner wine or a shot of liquor or spirits.

Crunches, crunches, crunches.. you can do this while watching tv specially during commercials. First do 3 sets of 10 -12 then gradually increase. if you do ride try to squeeze your stomach during stand pedaling. I usually do this and it help. But nothing can do better with proper crunches. Avoid lots of beer and rice. Its good but not healthy ;D ;D. Just keep doing and will see the results later . Goodluck.. JR. i followed your advice but i gain a lot of weight!!!!! oooops! you mean sit-ups pala i thought its nestle crunch ;D ;D ;D ;D..I'm talking about -laydown, raise feet and do a 1 x65 or 3X30 sit up. Get ready when summer comes..bwahahahaha.

hmm... that's true if you don't drink anything else with your hard drinks (on the rocks lang palagi), but they're usually consumed with softdrinks, juices and creams (think bailey's, rhum & coke, gin-pom, etc), which adds even more calories, fat and sugar to the total sum of your drink. haha! just drink san mig light. and by all means, if you're going to drink, mas okay na beer kesa hard drinks. it contains less calories or less something else, basta less of the bad stuff, so beer is the lesser evil. When diet and exercise isn't enough, doctor-prescribed medications may be warranted. Any doctor in the house?

When diet and exercise isn't enough, doctor-prescribed medications may be warranted. Any doctor in the house? Yup, that is right. For people who don't respond to lifestyle changes, prescription medications and even surgery are available to enhance the weight-loss process.

You will not lose weight until you give up excessive eating/ drinking, and I suggest you go cold turkey.
But going cold turkey isn't as delicious as it sounds. ;D

Pero what amazes me is when people tell me - I'm getting fat , kain kasi ako ng kain , tapos wala ako exercise To which I now reply - T@ng@ ka pala e , e d bawasan ang kain at mag exercise!! ( tough love style hehe ) What's funny is , they want a miracle drug that will turn them into swimsuit model while maintaining the same lifestyle

But thats for the very obese Most people are just too lazy Nothing wrong w/ being fat of course! Pero what amazes me is when people tell me - I'm getting fat , kain kasi ako ng kain , tapos wala ako exercise To which I now reply - T@ng@ ka pala e , e d bawasan ang kain at mag exercise!! ( tough love style hehe ) What's funny is , they want a miracle drug that will turn them into swimsuit model while maintaining the same lifestyle Let me share my experience with this teenage friend of mine... a model... of the horizontally challenged. She's very young, very smart, very pretty... and extremely obesed. Nothing wrong with being fat (or thin or mentally challenged... for that matter) We are born with our strengths and weaknesses. Nothing wrong with refusing to change (if you're completely happy about the status quo). Nothing wrong with the lack of discipline (some people are plain weaklings spiritually). Here's the deal. she doesn't feel good about herself. She hates being FAT. Therefore, something is very wrong, right? (Class, is everything clear so far?) She wants to change, but refuses to work for it! She constantly cheats (removes bacon and cheese from the pizza, only to order hotdog a few hours after. Hunger again...). She could, would and does eat 2 pcs of Cream Puffs right before a full dinner, when that dinner sized plate is good for sharing between me and my wife. (Think Chili's or Fridays) If I ate 1 cream puff, I'd lose my appetite for dinner. But that's me. Sorry for the distracting detail. Couldn't resist. Going back... I always say this to everybody: I want to look good physically, I have to work for it. I want to afford the 46" Samsung True High Definition LCD TV, I have to work for it. I want to marry a particular person, provide for a happy family, I have to work for it! We all want to achieve a particular goal, we all have to work for it. We all pay a price. Nothing worth achieving in this world comes easy. Make sure the goal is worth the sacrifices involved. Because life is short. Going back to the model... of confusion. She says there's always the "Biik Bellow" technology to suck out the fat someday and she'd look (miraculously) smashing. The eating (junk food by the hour) and the absence of exercise continues... End of story. Class, I wasn't born yesterday. I've been a professor, a debate team leader, a sports and fitness addict and a health buff. I read tons of books regarding the human machine, psychology, philosophy, and Og Mandino's. Yet, I am stumped. I don't know how to positively respond to this girl! A very beautiful and talented girl. Extremely gifted and an honor student in school. Her parents are mighty proud of her. They're wealthy, so the problem is not a problem (daw). But if I were her parent, I would be extremely worried. Watching her is like seeing myself all over again. Going through hell, growing up in a brutal environment, growing up to be a sickly, pimple-faced, hospital-valued-client. I know what it is like to be judged poorly, to fail to measure up, to be dependent on doctors to fix my health problems, to no avail. Happiness, you see, is an attitude, a lifestyle. Happiness is like biking, and having the scars, and the stories to tell. Happiness is NOT looking like a biker, without having ever ridden a bike! Happiness is not about illusion, deception, and lies. Happiness is about having goals and the hope of reaching it. It is the journey (which we don't want to take too many shortcuts). It is about conquering our own problems, insecurities, and fears. Happiness is about being proud of achievements, and starting over with newer and loftier goals. The harder to get and the longer it takes, the victory the sweeter!
