I think three years was the time I was off of a real bike. I really did not keep track. Even while on dialysis and getting both feet sawed off I found time to ride a stationary. Seven amputations altogether. I still remember my first ride with both prosthetics. I wobbled on half the road for a block. Within a mile I had my form back.

6 months, after i found out that i'd come out of remission. had fought and beat the big c twice and having a 3-peat rematch seemed just too much. almost gave riding up all together... but this year's ToF got me back on the saddle... plus those rides you guys keep setting up has kept me on... thanks guys!

I was off the saddle for 3 months when I suffered a stroke last year during the La Mesa 24 hour race. I thought I wont be able to ride my bike again. But thank God I was able to regain my strength back and now I'm fully recovered. And thanks to my hubby who really took care of me while I was sick and very weak. love you sweetie!

Was'nt able to ride 2.5 months for fractured 4, 5 and 6th left ribs. Cause:bike spill. Although not necessarily off the bike since I made it a point to seat on it whenever my butt misses the saddle

i have been off the saddle for 2 weeks and counting,no injuries whatsoever just gotta wait until after my birthday to ride again. my reason gotta upgrade my rig to a DH-FR full suspension again. got tired of my Hardtail rig.So in order not to get tempted to ride i dismantled my bike then sold some other parts.. i just wish it'd be july 21 tomorrow so i'll be back on the saddle once again. i just miss the group at baywalk.
