That's cheap, Php 8 for a pack.... gotta try one of those.
I usually fill up my Omega bladder with water and Ice and i bring an extra nalgene bottle for the Juice. I think if you would not be able to remove the taste of the flavored drinks if you put it in your hydro pack unlike if your using the lexan nalgene bottles

I've been using Sunbolt in powder form also for these past two months....much cheaper. Gatorade also comes in powdered form and may also be cheap in the long run...but it only comes in plastic container that costs around 600 pesos Though mura nga dahil bulk, baka naman it may take you a year to consume if twice a month ka lang mag-ride like me

brad. try to check the issue about Hyponatremia. This will help you to know the correct hydration on a race and a regular ride. You can google it or check their study/research done during the last Boston Marathon.

Do you know it's very difficult to get "hyponatremia?" I don't think the average weekend warrior should even trouble him or herself with this ailment. Most if not all athletes, underestimate their sweat loss, thus they don't full replace (100%) the fluids and electrolytes lost in sweat.
Hyponatremia is extremely rare and happens in the most extreme/harsh of races or training programs.

anyway, the simplest way to find out if you're getting enough hydration is to weigh yourself nude before and after training. any negative difference in weight means you are dehydrated. consume 16 ounces (approx. 500 mL) for every pound lost

I suspect this happens sa temperate countries Where the cold weather masks your thirst and inom ka ng inom to compensate for what you think nawala sayo

Hyponatremia or water intoxication happens when the body's sodium level falls below normal. This happens when we sweat (we lose salt or sodium), and overdrinking further dilutes the sodium in the bloodstream, causing Hyponatremia.
Symptoms of hyponatremia include nausea, vomiting, weakness and, in severe cases, seizures, coma and death.
Research has shown that exercise-related hyponatremia happens only during long periods of exertion, lasting four hours or longer, such as in marathons or longer triathlons, during which athletes are more likely to drink a lot.
idol_julio is actually right. The best way to determine if you're hydrating properly is to check you weight before and after intense exersice. If you weigh more after, then you may have over hydrated but it does'nt mean that you'll suffer from hyponatremia.
