well charm and wit has brought me places
fafa gadgets , why do you know so much about losing weight?
are you a gym instructor?
Let me tell you a short story....
<whisper mode on>
This is a secret, don't tell everybody... this is just between you and me, doc.
I DON'T know a bit about LOSING and GAINING weight.
Zero, nada, walang wala. Because I haven't done it!
I have this 120lbs body for the past 3 decades.
Nakakainis (Bloody irritating).
Doesn't give me any reason to go shopping because my wardrobe hasn't change nothing!
It all started when my mom (rest her soul) gave birth to a baby boy. Not bouncing, not fat, but a small one, all skin and bones.
I grew up sickly.
I had nosebleed every week.
I had this darn sinusitis and tonsilitis inherited from my pop.
I had a waistline that couldn't hold my pants up. It falls off 3 inches from my bellybutton.
I also like to take this opportunity to thank that IBS disorder that literally destroyed any opportunity for excitement.
Duh... I think this is too much information already... but you get my drift...
Most everyone laughed at me, people in the neighborhood, people in school.
They all wondered how I'm gonna grow up and survive this world, I'm practically a walking ginea pig (or stick) that visits all kinds of doctors.
People love to talk, I make a great piece of discussion sometimes.
It was very cruel for a kid, and specially for a teenager, to experience, believe me.
While my parents worried all day (while everybody laughed all day), I did the only thing I could do, I became a voracious reader, and a health buff.
Aside from experimenting all sorts of activities (either solo or with a "training" partner), I spend a lot of time talking with gym instructors, sexologist (sexy psychologists like yourself), and doctors.
Did I tell you I read a lot of books?
I like to thank National Bookstore, for letting in a skinny boy in shorts stay all day, sitting in the narrow aisle, opening the plactic wrappings, and skimming the pages of expensive literature for all those years!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fast forward to the present!
I cannot help but smile.
I look at my accomplishments (meaning my health).
I have conquered my illnesses!
I know how to care for the mind and the body. It had grown strong!
Goodness I didn't go insane growing up like that, at least not much.
I look back and thank God and my parents, and some people for their support and faith in me.
I thank my cousin Joseph, who gave me a boxed Canon AE-1 camera (with an external flash, mind you) as a gift for my elementary graduation, when my father couldn't even afford the P500 tuition on my first year in High school.
What can a piece of electronics do to a walking stick of a boy?
I get to see all the pretty girls turn my way in high school all year round! (It's kind of difficult not to smile when a photog is around).
It changed my outlook, changed my confidence, changed my attitude, changed my physical and mental well-being.
That piece of magical equipment turned a walking stick, a toad, a nobody into SUPERMAN!
Well.... not really!
Btw, Joseph has a few sisters based in the USA, they too are my "angels". They are my gift from God. I get all sorts of stuff from them once or even twice a year through courier! And it's all because my dad loved them so much when they were small. And I'm the lucky one to be the recepient of them paying it forward! ;D
I'm very happy to be alive.
While many of my friends now brag about their expeditions (P1000 per day daw yung gasolina expense nila) and swimming pools at home and expensive pets and travelling all over the world, their children studying in this exclusive school and that, their children marrying this powerful guy and that...
I wanna brag about having leapt from a 20-foot-diving platform doing a swan dive...
... about starting biking at my age! ;D
... and about my 25-inch waistline and 120lbs frame!
I should get a WALANG-PINAGBAGO AWARD for this!!!
But most of all, I wanna brag about knowing who my real friends are, and knowing I am so fortunate to have angels pushing me, providing things to make me whole, to turn a toad into a man.
But all I can say to them with a grin is ...
I'm glad I'm still alive! ;D
But you know what I'm thinking... the reason I know some stuff, is because I have gone through some stuff.
"The doctor who is limping, is not somebody we can laugh at, because he might actually be the best chiropractor in the planet, because the things he know, the things he have, are not some things he collects on a regular basis, easy, much like a landlord, gambling lord or jueteng lord.
The things he have, are some things that are earned, with hard work, with patience, with persistence, and with some help from angels."
But it gets complicated to explain all these things. So let's just say most people have what they have, know what they know...
by MAGIC!
Let's keep it a secret, ok?
<whisper mode off>
To everybody...
When I give my personal opinions or experiences regarding anything, just take it with a grain of salt, it's worth 2 centavos.
After all, I might be totally wrong!
So...
