Question: How to avoid the blackening of the big toe. It accumulated after the Tanay anniversary ride and also when riding the Firefly ride. (parang may patay na kuko ako sa paa ) Is it the wrong foot position on the pedals??? Thanks for the replies

Your not chewing your toe are you? ;D
Try putting on socks with thicker fabric (worrked on me)
Or buy a new shoes with bigger size.
Try salomon brands available on proline mga old model around P1600 to P1800

Bad shoe fitting.Usually in cycling shoes, they have 3 kinds of toe box-standard,narrow and mega.If you have a wide forefoot, try to have mega plus your size.SIDI shoes have the dominator for mtb and genius/lorica fo road. Both of them offer the toe box choices.

Thanks again for the additional info, the only shoe I got here is intended for platform pedals (for urban riding lang kasi pag nasa trails at nabasa eh dudulas) so I guess I'll have to fit other shoes for trails

Try checking your saddle height and the position of your butt on the saddle. It could be caused by pressure on the nerves. When you start feeling the numbness, do take a rest and massage your extremities to improve circulation and stimulate the nerves.
