I have 12 years old boy and riding with me every Saturday since he was 9 years old. In the beginning I trained him in fire break to build his confidence. My 9 years old daughter beginning to ride, also asking for a new bike. .

support mo lang talaga yung hilig nila, kaysa mapahilig pa sa kung ano-ano dyan, diba? Advantage nga talga tong sports natin pwedeng pang extreme at pwedeng pang pamilya. At kung they're into competation na pwedeng sa pit stop ka nalang" mekaniko".hehe

Kabayan,
Next time,

tama nga yun, marami pa namang impluwensya dito...kaya I keep their minds pre-occupied with something that makes a challenge for them (wag lang yung baril-barilan ;D). ngayon tinuturuan ko namang mag gigitara and this summer eenrol ko nang aiki...salamat dun sa website ninyo dadz, nakakita ako ng 5 dojo dito sa amin.

oh, maganda yan kiddfoes kasi ang authentic aikido is more on defense at walang tournament its more on personality training.
Advantage ng aikido: magagamit mo yong "rolling" nila just in case mag over the bar ka.

I've read in a health mag that oatmeal is the 'longest lasting' carb. I know they boring but they're easy to prepare and gives you extra miles compared to rice , bread or cearals. Eat sparingly though because they really fibrous and get my bowels moving fast too. Favorite trail food is bananas. Go ahead and litter the pealings on the trailside with no guilt. They fertilize the soil and are gone in a week or so.

Ano pa eh di catpao Can't really eat much before a ride otherwise I get stomach cramps (which also leads to leg cramps). Usually I just much on a Powerbar before a ride. What I'm really interested is food during a ride. 2-3 hours into a ride usually gutom na ko. And when that hits I really feel a sudden depletion in power. I'm thinking of packing perhaps dried fruits next time, maybe skyflakes?

marcs: dried fruits? i tried kiamoy loading. in effect, i drank lots of water before the ride. at the same time, sodium loading.
carbo loading works too. 100%! but i only eat slow burning carbs. pasta that is!

i drink coffe to perk up my morning (brewed if available) before a little stretching exercise...am not sure but i believe that the energy that you are about to spend for the next few hours will come from what u hav eaten few hours before... basta ako balance ang dinner ko okey na...what will sustain me after that ay catpao na...i find it filling, easy to digest and easy to carry inside my pocket...mura pa hehehe!

hmm...i got my preference from my climbing background. if there's a big ride on a weekend, i carbo load with pasta and oatmeal 2-3 days before the ride. the morning before the ride, a piece of bread and water. i just eat along while riding normally chocolate so there's a quick fuel for the body. it's after the ride that i eat to my tummy's content, he he he

for me oatmeal with fresh bananas works or cereal with bananas. it will last me for about 3-4hrs of ride. i usually eat 30mins or an hour before i ride.

It wouldnt be right if I say the products name kasi I'm selling it so I wont But I'm taking meal replacements before and after a long ride or hard workout It's what I drank right before the hidden valley ride I didnt even need to eat lunch during the ride, just 2 bananas gtg na for the whole day no fear of bonking , felt great thru the ride My friends thought I was secret training hehe I did no riding whatsoever but I did hit the trainer a week before the ride ( w/c was why the DH scared the @#$% out of me ) I could be biased though kaya we'll be testing it more sa NAGT triathlon series the rest of the year Dapat bigyan ng sample si Julio for testing when he gets back from Oz
