How do I go over this "pilapil" thing? It must be done on a high saddle and cleats. it's just a relatively small drop, about 2-3ft and the start of the pilapil is about a foot only. its like this:

bunnyhop over it. or ride it diagonally, if wide enough, then pedal kick + drop it. ingat sa nose dive.

Do a "prejump" i guess. See Justin H. doing that in fundamentals. Dont be afraid to tap your front tire to the upper edge of the box (pilapil). Extend your legs to absorb the fall on the otherside (HT)
Practice those jhop first on a flat surface. If you have that dialed please teach me how to hehe. Endoboy can give you the best advice since he is running spd's now so I heared.

You can either: 1. Use the pilapil as a dirt jump or 2. If you know how to bunnyhop, hop over it.
In both approaches, make sure you have enough speed so that your rear wheel wont get caught in the pilapil causing your bike to nose dive.
Actually if you have enough momentum, you can double jump it.

Good luck dude. But if you really think you wont be able to clear it, the best approach is to walk it!

;Dwith that rigid fork on your diagram, this is the most safest way to clear that pilapil.
remove cleats and dismount your mtbike, put bike over sholders and jump the pilar pilapil. then mount your mtbike and pedal away, this what the cyclocross guys do it.
correct me if im wrong water bars ang english yata ng pilapil?

i think its a surname of an old actress tho........... pilar? or pia?
tahts basic tho....even if ur runnin at bout 5 kph u can just push down on ur fork then pull it up then crank a half step to ur pedals..... thus making u wheelie and eventually let inertia n gravity do its work.............. this also applies to up to 2 foot walls.......hihihihi.......
also very ahndy when rolling over ur riding buddies while theyr sprawled over the trail ...ahikhikhikhik................

as you approach the humps full your front as high as u can and isunod mo yung likod to make ur jump high.
and make sure your landing una likod.. or if u can make it paralell much safer. pero para mas extreme if ur front tire will be the first.

hmmm.....if u ask most of the pro riders.......... some actually prefer nose dives.....( front wheel in first)............u actually get a faster reaction time from ur bike when u dive in ....as ur front tire makes contact with the ground u have control, steering, balance on contact! ...am i right? hihihihihi...... thus giving u a better response time on landing.....duh?...lolx
ummm no one accelerates in mid air flight.......acceleration happens on the ground ....lolx....
im sorry if i talk funny............lolerz........
im stoned..... ~_~
