i’ll be joining this, 40k though i'm tempted to go for 60k similar to the format of adrenaline 20k isang ikot, 40k 2 ikot (unless baguhin, since malaki ang lamesa). nasalihan ko narin yung event na ito 2 yrs ago. good thing summer nila sched kasi last time binagyo kaya nag re reoute at medyo lusaw ibang parts ng trail - ridable pero lusaw. this is the same organizer of camelbak race in pintong bukawe and i always have positive feedback to this team.

kasi para sa akin mas sulit ang trails ng lamesa compared sa timberland. for me both trails offer a different experience and require different sets of skills. between timberland and la mesa, la mesa is more friendly in a sense na walang bangin, walang mahahabang ahon, dehins exposed sa araw at malawak ang trail. compared to timberland which is entirely opposite. given the wide area of lamesa, there's no trail traffic during races unlike timber na tech na singletrack pa na pag me nasundan na baguhan or dehins sanay or whatever reason, e tirik ang linya, hence traffic. imagine what's happening at 711 every year for later waves where thousands or hundreds of riders pile up and line up in an ascent, descent or switchback. i haven't explored la mesa that much nor am i a frequent visitor and don't know how much has changed, but i find it less tech than timberland. features are either less or non-existent... berms, rocks, fast turns, roots, ruts, switchbacks (up/down). if i were to compare it with another trail, it resembles nuvali just more covered in a sense. the problem with timberland is that it's not maintained all year round. fixes are done only as necessary (ie only during events). timberland is pretty much shared with the public - motorized vehicles, runners, hikers, residents, livestock, etc, hence lots of things/persons to encounter. the type of soil there is clay so when it rains, good luck with cleaning whereas the soil in la mesa is well... soil. it may build up in your tires, but not as nasty as timber's. for me, out of convenience, i ride in timber since i don't have much visa in riding, and i prefer PATW than transporting with cars. also no fees required (obviously you get what you pay for).

icemann77 , anarki , nakasama narin ako years back sa ride sa UPD, 3-4 years ago i think lol. dun ko na meet si anthrax76 at iba pang members. yea sana nga maulit. for starters, 711 and this lamesa event might be a good one since me date na talaga ang tanong nalang e sino sino ang mga sasama. 711 certainly andun ako, pero kung uulan ulit like last year, baka dehins na, makikibalita nalang ako sa karera hehe.

Kainis nga e last month ko pa sinabi yun kasi nagbase ako sa post mo dito nung nakaraan. Sabi nya lang "Kala ko pwede walk-in" sarap batukan ng wheelset. kung yung La Mesa ecopark na malapit sa commonwealth ang entrance, ang alam ko libre, walang guide. pero ewan kung panong padyak ang gagawin. kung yung bike trail na along quirino ang entrance, yeah...advanced booking yan. dati may listahan ng contact number ng mga rangers. subukan ko nga hanapin para kahit thursday pa lang, makapag pa reserve for a weekend ride. not to mention bawal ang late dun, kasi may orientation tapos magkakasunod ang mga grupo. kaya as soon as may makumpletong grupo, orientation agad, tapos larga. nauubos rin kasi yung rangers.
