The first advice I give riders about wheelies is to adjust their brake levers (inward) such that only a finger rests on them while the rest are on the grip for better control.Mrami kasi new riders who had the mistake of using(or nasanay sa) two finger braking. Kung medyo matigas yung levers for a single finger, I guess its time for cable maintenance or replacement. Then practice wheelie at a very slow pace or speed. Kapag bumababa yung fr wheel, pedal a bit more.Kapag sumobra, lightly tap the brakes.Once in a while hayaan lang na medyo sumobra yung angat as long as narerecover through the brakes, this way tatatak sa utak kung san yung balance point. Practice light brake tapping. Yung side-to-side balance is achieved by sticking out a knee on the opposite side of where the bike leans. More importantly, lahat ng trick tips is nothing kung walang tyagang magpraktis. Some learn faster than others pero lahat nadadaan sa ensayo.Tuwing bibili ka sa tindahan, practice wheelie.Papunta sa trailhead, practice wheelie. Finally, dont do wheelies on a bike with weak rear brakes. Kung mahina rear brakes mo (or wala ka rear brakes ), practice manual. Mas astig pa tignan. Hans

Mastering the art of wheelie really is time consuming. But if you have someone to teach you like andy aka whelieman. it's really not that hard to learn. All it takes is a strong dependable rear brake and some adjustments on your brake levers. Kuya Andy drop some of your tips here and show them how to do a wheelie all the way to Batanes. He has some clips of his on his cellphone. Hehehe...

I can do a wheelie...I'm not bragging or anything but the most common mistakes I see when people practice wheelies is that they are leaning too much when lifting the front up. Trusting your brakes and keeping you arms stretched helps a lot. I practiced with a bag at my back hehe...Peace!

Start a moderate pace and make sure to set your gears in a ratio that is not too light and not too heavy....as long as you can jerk the bike up its better......then try to loosen your self up and dont put too much pressrue on your body and arms....as you pedal deliever a slight heavy kick then pull the handle bars to lift the front wheel.....make sure to keep your finger on the rear brake incase you lean back too much you can control it........
i just want to share my picture pulling off a wheelie... im used to laying my back as if im turning over but at the same time i try to keep my arms as straight as i can by pushing the handle bars forward to maintain the ever famous term "SWEET SPOT" ,its hard at first to find that comfort position but practice makes perfect and just be confident and everthing pays off...it took me 3yrs to pull it off,....but its worth every single time doing it...so enjoy,be safe and before doing such things like this be sure to wear your helmet at all times......keep on riding!

practice makes perfect.. just dont be conscious to much on gearing seat height.... just the brakes for it is ur life saver.. try to get the feel of balance point muna.. then the rest just follows

there are 2 basic things to be considered to perform a wheelie... take note that this does not go through sustaining it yet... it'll come soon naturally as soon as the basics are imprinted (muscle memory that is). - correct gear selection - too hard front wheel wont lift, too easy front wheel wont lift as well - lean back - this is the toughest part to conquer (i'm still working on this as well, but getting there). here's the idea in leaning back. there's a window of zen so to speak where you are floating - this is where you should be otherwise you'll end up spinning faster and faster to compensate for the loss of fr wheel lift. - cadence/power - spin fast and you'll loop back, spin slow and you'll drop your front wheel - back brake confidence - it should be automatic in the CNS that once you reached the farmost back position you should dab the rear brake there is a subtle balance between the 4 above. compared to the manual front wheel lift though, a wheelie has more room for error. like i said earlier, there's a specific window of float in a wheelie. in a manual, it's like on and off. like the manual, there's the inevitable fear of looping back hence the need for practicing (1) back brake, and (2) jumping out behind with the first preferable. i'm no master yet and manuals and wheelies are still wip. i can do things tsamba tsamba
