first, my unpadded cycling short (ordinary like outdoor) then over it is my padded cycling short... whew! that gonna be hotter than hell! resulting to frieds eggs! ;D ;D ;D i used my padded shorts as my undies, and then the baggy shorts not really sir... just use those unpadded ones that has less polyester...mostly those fabrics that hold water/perspiration...

of course you dont have to wear briefs, that's why there's a padding in the cycling shorts. i havent seen a pro cyclist wear brief under the cycling shorts. A pro MTB rider advised me to use unpadded cycling shorts as substitute for briefs...

If you can ride with out sweating, by all means wear your undies...
If you you want to avoid the rashes on extended rides your better off with padded cycling shorts or compressor shorts (tights)

ah so you wear it side B. ;D i thought you only do that when you're unable to go home 2 days in a row (happens most of the time when i was in high school). you reverse the brief to side B ;D not OT : yes, me i wear felix bakat (in lieu of briefs) under and MTB short (as long as there's no cross-sewing underneath the crotch area) hehehe nice thongs....well i learned the pros trick..i wear the brief reverse order with the linings outside on a bike race...no chaffing whatsoever even after 150kilometers...

Yes. But I cut of the garter part to prevent garter burns. One could also wear T-backs or thongs but it wouldhave create much irritation to your crotch rather than that of your sit bones. I think choice of under wear is more of preferance. Others dont wear undies at all. I also use T-backs but hard to find it here. My sister bought me a six pack of it in the U.K. Briefs have garters that causes garter burn after a very long ride.
One may also use boxers not the fork (boxxers). Pro riders do away with undies.
But for daily use i wear my wifeys Vitoria Secret thongs.
