hmm... lets put it this way... quality plus durability. which one? that would be my deciding factor. hehehe because even if ultegra has crispier shifting but more maintenance, i'd get the 105 instead, and vice versa. same maintenance, crisper shifting, cost more heheheheh

Honestly, I can't find really what's the big difference between using a Tiagra, 105, Ultegra, except the Dura 10 speed in w/c one gear is added. Weight is not an issue but the ranking of the model does---ihehhehehe peace....

Weight is not an issue but the ranking of the model does---ihehhehehe peace.... I do feel the differences between the Dura Ace 9, Ultegra 10, and the 105 9. I'm currently using a Dura 9 and Ultegra 10 at the moment as well as the 105 9 before the bike was stolen and I can assure you that they perform different from each other.

Weight is not an issue but the ranking of the model does---ihehhehehe peace.... My experience with 9sp... You can easily tell the difference between 105 vs. DA. It is significant -- DA levers have a much lighter throw and a crisper feel. Plus the left lever allows you to make fine adjustments by trimming the front derailleur. In the same way, you can feel the difference between Alivio vs. Deore vs. XT. But Acera vs. Alivio, maybe not... Whether it's worth the price difference is another matter.

so who performs better? DA 9 or Ultegra 10? For racing, I think the Dura 9 has the edge over Ultegra 10, however, Ultegra 10 offers a more comfortable feel in shifting and is ergonomically superior than the Dura 9. This is just my personal observation.

Taken from another forum:

"The FORCE will have almost the same price range of Dura Ace but its lighter because of the carbon parts ( shift levers, cranks, rear der cage, etc.) RIVAL will have the price as ultegra but almost as light as Dura Ace grupo. Sprokets are shimano compatible.
Make The Leap!"

They got the Force and Rival at All Terra. The Force is about 50k I think, pero no hubs yet. The Rival is about 20-30k ata, but no cranks yet.
