Good day,
im currently using foxter ft301 with lock out fork. when i lock the fork the suspension became rigid. is it true that it is better when doing uphill?
ok lang ba kung i lock hirap na hirap kasi ako sa paahon baka makatulong eh. salamat

that is the use of the lockout. here's the thing, if you're using a fork with a longer than recommended travel for your frame, then the lockout would pretty much be less help.

Locking the fork going uphill prevents pedal bob, so it's better.
Going downhill it's better unlocked. Fork suspension absorbs brake force so save some brake pad wear.

my opinion may be different but i’ve never used lockouts even if i have. i can use a remote lockout but didn’t bother to.
i am a lazy biker so to speak (hence the 1x) and i don’t like tinkering on the ride. the only add on i have on the handle bar is the dropper remote. the only thing i reach out during rides is water bottle.
if you pedal with a locked core and your sus is dialed correctly to your manner of riding, you don’t need to lock out even if you are standing. sounds counterintuitive but that’s just how it works.
if your while stomping on the pedals with your weight, your just wasting precious energy by giving it to your suspension. learn to pedal in a stable manner and i guarantee you’ll never look at lockouts again.
but then nothing wrong if you want to ride with a lockout, and yes it’s used during climbing.

yep, it's ideal for long long long climbs, but for trails with sudden transitions (uphill to downhill) don't bother to adjust kasi wala ka nang time, sayang ang momentum

if its uphill then paved road, better locked to prevent bouncing and pumping while pedalling. more efficient for the climb.
if its uphill then rough road or rocky, better have the fork shock not locked.
downhill, always not locked.
worst case scenario: makalimutan mo na naka lock ka pala tapos downhill na rocky. aruy.
