Deore 2x10 or 10x3 whats the difference? pros and cons for the two. newbe here

it's just the number of chainrings included in the set. you can go 3x or 2x.
2x pros less weight of the big ring cons limited gearing for flats and downhill because the big ring is out
3x pros more gearing options cons the big ring is heavy
not rocket science really, he he.
at the end of the day it's more of which gear combos are you using? if you're not a 44x11 user like me, there's no point going 3x. even 44x15 is almost similar to 32x11, which you might not even use at all. on the other end, if you're a road warrior your route is almost flat, you might want to have that big ring option available.

baka nag improve na ngayon. nung mga unang labas, konting dumi lang, wala na sa tono.
IIRC, merong nakapag hack na SRAM 9 speed with 10 speed XTR RD (oo may katagalan na ito). kasi yung cable pull ratio ng 10 speed shimano is so close to SRAM's 1:1
